Hi, we are going for the 2nd option, as long as both of our love lasts :-)
    Aaaw, lovely. :D

So how far on with the planning are you?

It must be hard to organise the 2 - is the civil service for just the 2 of you?

We're having a civil service and then a blessing (catholic) about a week later. I didn't want a big church wedding, despite spending most of my life assuming that's what I would have. Strange.

Maybe I should jump the broom too! :D

    hey everyone.

Just popping on here before I go to the gym!

    Mel- loving the bridesmaid dress.

natalie- the fork and spoon look fab.

LauraL- what a bargain. Im having a guest book, all the weddings ive been to in the last few years have had guest books, and im going to give my little sister the job of going round in the evening and getting everyone to sign it- otherwise they do get forgotten- mine is like this:

And I have the matching certificate holder as mil2b got them for me!!

Oh hope the shoes are just perfect when they come- and although they are alot you would be able to wear them again wouldnt you?

    Mel love the bridesmaid dress:)

Emma like your guest book. What have you got for the kids bags? I've just realised i will have two kids - they will be 5 and 8.

My mum had a guest book and reading all the comments after the wedding was really nice.

My plan for Friday is to book the honeymoon and pay the deposit for the chair covers.

Mrs D - I love your Mr and Mrs fork/spoon. They r fab.

Thinking about your photographer. This might not work but here goes...........do you have a college/university within an hour or so from you that does photography courses? Could you maybe contact them and say what you are looking for and see whether they have any students that would be interesting. The price would be very good, they would work very hard - they could use their photographs in their coursework and you could find out how good they are by looking at their portfolios and asking their tutors? Might be a rubbish idea but thought it would bring the price right down and they would be thrilled to have the opportunity??!!

After spending 2 days on it, and supergluing some purple stuff to my thumb, I have..........................finished invitation number 1!!!! I'm very impressed with it aswell, even if I do say so myself!!!

I have to sort out notice of marriage, going to leave it until we move house though, because even though we are only moving about 10 miles we are changing counties. We are actually moving to the county where we are getting married. Might make things easier????

Right I'm off to slimming club (I actually bit the bullet and went to slimming world!), lost almost half a stone in 2 weeks, but may have put half that back on this week :-( xx

Right e o guys - I am off until tomorrow night :) (lol some peace and quiet for you all).

Emma - I don't know if you've shown us that before but that is a really lovely guest book!
Rach - I think I've decided to just not bother with a photographer. But thanks! I will bear that in mind if I change my mind again. (Which is likely ha!) Ooo I want to see a photo of your invites!! I can't remember now if we'd moved whether we have to give notice again or whether they'd just change our addresses. I know if we change our venue we'd have to give notice again. So it might be worth you waiting anyway. I also can't remember the rules about living in your current place for however long. Cause obviously you can get married in a different county to where you live, and I think the rule is as long as you've been within the UK for so many days - rather than within your home county. Lol sorry I'm not being much help am I?! Well done on the weight loss - I'm on a 'eating crap' phase - I will probably stay eating crap until we're back from Eurodisney and then kick myself into touch.

Right - have a lovely night and day and will see you all tomorrow :)

LauraR- a canvas is a fab idea. I havent seen that before.

Rach- it may be worth just checking about notice because where I live we had to give notice by 27th Sept or we would have lost our booking- obviously if your moving very soon then ignore this but it may be worth just checking (all registry offices seem to have their own rules). Well dont on the weight lost!!

Natalie- i may have done but I forget what ive shown and what I havent!!

LauraL- I havent got anything yet but i will be keeping an eye out for colouring/ activity books, some bubbles (would rather get a proper pot of bubbles each rather than special wedding ones as im sure they will work out better value for money- and we have an enclosed outdoor area so they can play with then out there) and then they will hopefully each have a disposable camera and a list of photos. I will definately have a 12, 11, 5 and 4 year old (all girls), and possbly a 12 year old boy and then 3 girls who will be 8,6 and 8 or 9!! I will just keep an eye out in places like poundland and places like tesco when they have offers on.

Oh my oh has just informed me the tesco vouchers have arrived and we have £12.50, so it was worth waiting as this will be another £37.50 towards my ring!! So i reckon we will have about £215 towards by ring, Ill have to get them changed up soon!!:j

Oh that does look fab, and i like the idea of keeping a gap for a photo.

Yes- im so glad they have come, and by having them it means I can have my perfect ring, i was thinking i would have to get a plain cheap one and replace it in a few years but wont need to do that now.

    arrggghhhhh!!!!

Im stressing to much about this wedding! we dont have alot of money hence the MSE wedding... my bro in law to be has been with his mrs just over a yr and they are gettign married next oct. they claim they are skint etc and they arent. i mean 1300 on a photographer...... im really happy for them but i feel like my wedding is going to look cheap and tacky compared to theirs, and everyone will compare. i dont know if im hormonal still or what but its bringing me to tears. i just wish we could do it without the guests. but i couldnt do it without my family which means we have to have OHs family!

    sorry for the rant! x
