I agree - the Elizabeth one is lovely. Lol sorry for finding them - they are pricey aren't they. I wonder if you can get them on ebay. (Will go off on a google hunt in a min and come back with any findings).

I think the whole guest thing is really hard. Cause on the one hand it's your wedding - you should have who you want, and only those you want. But on the other hand it's a big celebration for your parents to show off how well you've done so they will want to share the day with their nearest and dearest as well. It's hard to find a compromise between the two especially when numbers are so restricted. I am praying that some of our guests RSVP to say they can't come - cause at the last count we had 56 including us. We don't have that big a garden!

Well that's easy - you'll just have to wait outside! :rotfl:

I did a search on google for local photographers :)
Looking at the first link you gave though the £245 price isn't that bad... one place wanted £150 for 1.5hrs and £350 for the CD!! £350!!! *gulp*
MrD is happy to have a photographer if I want one. :T
I have had another guy email me back asking for our wedding date - if I get a couple of quotes then I will haggle with the one I'm happiest with. Will obviously book an appointment to see their full portfolio and discuss exactly what I want.

Mel - lol oh now there is an idea!! :D Or actually I could hide upstairs with Bun and let everyone else cope with the crammedness!! (New word for you all). :D On the day of the party Bun (our house rabbit) is going to be hidden away in my office for the night - with a great big sign on the door saying Strictly No Entry Bunny Will Bite. (He wouldn't but it might stop horrible kids from going and poking him). :)

Aw yeah you don't want him to be all scared :(

£250 isn't bad for a photographer compared to some of the quotes I got, esp if you get the pictures included. Def worth haggling though!

Hello, I am having a ceromony handfasting next July 2012 at the Lost Village of Dode in Kent. We are having the civil ceromony first followed by the handfasting. Cant Wait!
I've been to some lovely handfastening ceremonies. :j
Are you going to renew it every year and a day?

Welcome moonsa70 what date in July u getting married and ill add you to the list.

Natalie thanks for letting us know what happens when u give notice. I just cant believe they ask if your related(like emma in my childish way wanna say yes to see what they do!) I hope OH remembers all the dates etc i have to tell him when its his parents birthdays!!:rotfl:
When i rang up to book to give notice - she asked if me or OH have been married before - i felt like saying 'well i hope he hasn't, you will have to ask him yourself!!:rotfl:
Hope you manage to find a good photographer.

Will sort chair covers out when OH gets home from work and ring about the honeymoon to see if they have 2012 prices yet.

Ha I so know what you mean - I was super tempted to give MrD a glare and tell him he'd better give all the right answers that we'd practiced - just for fun lol. I'm not sure what dates and things they asked MrD - don't know if he had to know my date of birth - but bless him he does know it anyway :) It did throw me when I was asked how long I'd been living in our house.

I've had another email today off another company/guy asking for more details (ie when) - so fingers crossed I'll get at least one more quote!! (Some companies really are rubbish aren't they - they obviously don't need my money!) Still thinking it's so much money, and for what. Everyone'll take photos before the ceremony - I can tell my brothers to make sure they snap everyone and the room etc. And the same afterwards. Although I don't want any posed photos I'm sure everyone'll take plenty snaps. There really is only the problem of having someone to take photos during the ceremony. I might ask my brothers if one of them would mind snapping a few of us stood up together and the kiss etc. Cause essentially it comes down to £200 (ish) for a photo of my mum signing the register. I think I've made my mind up - and to carry on not having a photographer. If I change my mind again I could always have a portrait photo taken of me in my dress and MrD in his suit.

LauraL - where are you planning on honeymooning? I know thomas cook and thompson have got their summer 2012 prices out online :)

Natalie photographers are expensive - mines more then what my dress is!!
The honeymoon is with cottages4you. It's cheaper then i thought it was going to be so i will get OH to ring his parents later to tell them the price and to see if we can book it soon. It says that they don't allow children under 5 but a cot is available so they said they would check with the owners first we can have baby with us, as wiggler will only be 7months they think it will be ok.

Tut wrote a nice long rambling post and clicked back again and lost it - grrr!
    Ooo a jacuzzi!! Very posh!!
Lol that they don't allow under 5s but they provide a cot - how many 5+ year olds sleep in a cot?! :rotfl:

My garden candles have arrived :T They will burn for up to 4 hrs (I think) so I will have to think about where to position them and when to light them. :)

Just had a proper look at my candles - :D according to my invoice I had ordered 72cm ones - the ones I've received are the 122cm ones - hurrah!! According to ebay listings they have a burn time of 4.5-5hrs - which is much better. :D I paid £35.93 from a marketplace seller on amazon. To buy 12 122cm ones in white off the same seller on ebay would have been £45.54!! Hurrah!
