I would see it as although it will cost £1500 to fix her if you dont you would lose double that. Maybe wait and see what MrD thinks when he gets in

I am having it in deep red. I am having 2 bridesmaids in the same colour red and 2 in deep blue. My Fiance will be wearing the matching blue and the rest of the groomsmen will be split into the two colours.

he's agreed with the more rational (less emotional) decision to pay up and get the work done. :T I get to keep my baby. (One day I would love a new car - but to get a high spec car like her will cost us in today's climate).

Sorry to hear about your car MrsD. This happened to my OH's car last month. It was only worth about a grand, but the mot showed up at least 500 quids worth of stuff that needed doing, and possibly more as some of that was diagnostic work. We decided to go for a new one in the end but his was quite old, it would have been a case of throwing good money after bad.

Tfutcher, that sounds good with the football theme! I'm a Leicester City fan and my OH is Sheff United (little does he know that the reason I went for a sapphire and diamond ring is because they are my team colours:p) and he won't let me have a royal blue colour scheme!

When we started talking about 2012 for the wedding I wanted to have it on the same day as the Euro 2012 final but it was too early, I wouldn't have broke up from school yet. It would have been good though because it would have given everyone something to do that wasn't totally weddingy, they can be so boring.

Pink Princess, how come you don't know who made it? Don't they tell you that in the shop? I haven't been dress shopping yet so dunno how it works!

Oh Glad MrD has been rational- and you get to keep your car (although a new car I guess would have been lovely.)

Oh your colour scheme will look lovely- i cant imagine many Portsmouth/ Southampton fans would be able to compromise as well as you have!

Silaqui- I got my dress in a sale so it was straight from the rail and I havent looked to see if there is a label in it! It was such a bargain though- I couldnt resist- £900 down to £200, and I love it. Next time I go to my mil2bs were it is being stored I may have to take a peak, and if not many take some photos of it!!

Well my only day off tomorrow during half term (not counting yesterday as a day off as was shopping all day!!) So guess what im going to be doing tomorrow WEDDING PLANNING!!!

well ive been thinking of any possible search term to find it and have had no luck, have even been looking up the stockists the shop sells and googling, looking on ebay and sell my wedding dress and nothing!!

I think ill have to take some pictures at some point and put them on here!!

Morning July12 brides!! (Hey we haven't found ourselves any grooms on here yet!)
Well what a night we've had! Lots of toing and froing. Debating to pay a fortune and get her (the car) fixed, or trade her in now while she's still worth something. MrD has been to the reasonably priced garage and chatted to him today. He is beginning to think trading her in is the way to go. Part of me (the one that was tearful yesterday) is gutted, and part of me is happy. Just a pain in the bum this being a grown up and having to make decisions lark!
Lol not very MSE but I'm off to get my hair done this afternoon to make me feel better (lol I have had it booked in since before Christmas lol).
