Thanks! I just think it will be a nice tribute to my grandad too! the nurses there where so lovely and let my mum and her sisters live there for the last 2weeks they made the as comfortable as they could and fed them etc! just made it that bit easier x

Natalie- Im not sticking to pink sweets, it would work out too difficult and part of the condition to us having one was that we would have chololate raisins as they are my oh fave!! Definately having hairbo hearts and haribo giant straws and probably the pink and blue bottles, plus chocolate raisins, probably fizzy cherry cola bottles and im not sure what else, probably some lollipops and a few other jelly sweets!! Im definately sticking to my faves!!:rotfl:

My word, you guys are so organised, knowing what favours you are giving and the kinds of sweets you're going for. I have to keep on checking I'm on the right thread and not looking at this years weddings!

I've gotten as far as I think I want the sweetie idea but possibly as the table centre pieces. Still working on convincing the OH!!

Ive got a spreadsheet for my sweets with a list of what sweets and how many etc. i have all my bowls and sticking to blue and white sweets (easier said) just need scoops now.
Today i have bought white paper sweet bags and some stickers with our names and the date on to stick on the bag. also bought save the date magnets. (vista print so just paid postage for the stickers and magnets) £5.79 and i use quidco so get £5 cash back :0)
im looking for someone to do my favour cards and double them up as place cards. couple of people on ebay but im thinking cheaper lol! x

Well I was bored last night and couldnt think what else to do. I think closer to the time ill order the sweets i want and will then spot what else is on offer for the rest of the jars. I wanted just white and pink stripe bags but my oh said that the men wouldnt want them so i compromised on 100 pink and 50 blue and white striped ones.

The forgetful one (sorry if youve told us your name- ive forgotten it!!) I went to a wedding a few weeks back and they had haribo eggs and haribo rings in little glass bowls on the tables- they went down very well.

i dont think the men will care what colour the sweet bags are lol... we went to look round a venue on saturday it was all set up for a wedding they had the candy buffet set up and only had pink and white striped bags. (pink theme lol) i wouldnt want to add pink to my blue colour scheme

I think the reason for my organisation so far is well.... I'm a huge control freak lol.

Even to the point of organizing the dessert spoon and fork that my brother is giving us as our wedding present. Lol. I just wouldn't want him a) to choose the wrong ones - even though I've sent him links, and b) get the engraving done in the wrong font or wrong place.... Anyway they arrived today and a local jewelers can engrave them. Going to shop around though to make sure I get the best price.

I'm on count down now till Wednesday so Asda will, hopefully, deliver my glass jars to me!

LauraR- according to my oh they wont want pink bags (I think its just him not wanting one) anyway I have a majority pink so will have the pink ones out on display and the blue ones will only come out once its time to let people dig in (and even then I plan on hiding them at the bottom!!:rotfl:)

Natalie- my day has been ok, finished work a bit early so I could get my 2 new tyres so thats one less thing to worry about, and I weighed myself and I lost 1.5lb which I was very happy about.:D

Thanks Natalie, im hoping to lose between 1 and 2lb a week, that way I think I will find it easier to maintain!!
