Hey Laura- Loving the dress and the shoes. And at least your likely to wear the shoes again. I think coloured shoes look fab- I have coloured shoes to go under my dress, havent tried them on with it yet but im hoping they will look fab!!
Suits- there are some online sites that do quite reasonable priced suits for hire, like ive seen before debenhams have had a half price hire deal, or theres a site called formally yours who have a set price of about £57 pich includes per outfit which includes suit, waistcoat, shirt, tie or cravat and handkerchief, (no idea what they are like but im sure if you asked about on here people may be able to give you some reviews). Im leaving my oh to sort his out and his best man and my step dad, although my step dad has said he would be happy to by a new suit as he wears one everyday for work so ill leave it to the 3 of them to sort out!!
Natalie- the candle idea sounds fab- look forward to seeing the pics!!0 -
The candles sound lovely bet it will look lovely in the dark
i have found these http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/footed-glass-bowl-50177 thought i could either A) fill with water and blue foodcolouring add some white floating candels orGet some blue beads/crystals add clear water and a mix of blue and white floating candes.
put them on a mirror plate a few scatter crystals and hey-presto centre pieces
what u think. would be under a tenner per table!

Hi Laura
Im sure either idea will look fab. I would say though they dont look that deep so you may just want to check that candles wont be a bit dangerous with little ones or clumsy adults (i think I watch too much youve been framed!!:rotfl:)But I think the idea is great.
I think my table decorations will be tall narrow glasses with gerberas in on a mirror plate, was going to have some scatter crystals but im a bit worried they will be too small and a bit of a choke hazard for the little ones- can anyone think of any ideas of what else I could have?0 -

LOL i think ill buy one bowl and see what it looks like all set up i could always go for floating flowers instead i guess.
you could use rose petals instead of crystals? x0 -
I am loving both your ideas of center pieces! Those glass bowls are lovely and different to the usual fish bowl Laura. I *think* I'd go with blue glass beads though - just because the blue colouring in the water may stain the white candles and ruin the effect you're going after... but then I'd probably try both and see what I thought.
Ahhh isn't health and safety fun!! Part of me thinks s** it - it's your wedding if you want crystals have them and let the kids parents worry about it. Lol but then I'm having glass jars instead of paper lanterns just incase a kiddiewink kicks them over.0 -
I will have to have a look and see what rose petals look like- but im not sure if they would look odd with gerberas.
Well I really should be ironing but instead am looking into what sweets im want for the sweetie table!!0 -
Oh i havent really thought about it... if parents cant watch there kids its there problem (says bride - Mother of 2 who i doubt ill see all day) lol im having scatter crystals on the table just around the mirror though... good thinking about staining the candle... never thought of that! x0

I'm probably going to have burgundy crystals scattered around my buffet - lol I figure there will be enough other edible things on offer that any kids shouldn't be sticking them in their gob - lol plus if they are big enough to reach the kitchen worktop (where we'll be putting the buffet) then they are big enough to know better.
Ooo what sweets have you decided so far Emma? Lol I would be really cheesy and demand some haribo love hearts just cause they are my favourite... ooo them and rhubarb and custard boiled sweets... mmmm! Lol but they don't go very well with your pink colours!0 -

Im not having wedding favors now. instead im going to make a donation to the hospital where my grandad recently passed away they where so good to him and all of our family in is final weeks so now im going to make some cards with the info on and hopefully get little envelopes put the peoples names on and use them and place cards too0 -
That sounds like a really lovely idea Laura. Definitely a better use of money spent in my opinion anyway0
