Laura - I'm really sorry to hear about your Grandad. Hope your doing ok.
Good thinking about the 3 for £10 bottles of wine. You'll be under budget then!!

Hi everyone,
I'm getting married on the 28th July in Oxfordshire. I'm currently an unemployed teacher (waiting to start supplying after a bad previous school) so I've got lots planned in the last few weeks, but know I still have a long way to go yet! So far we've booked the venue and the caterer and I've found THE dress. Other than that its all ideas in my head, not the best idea for me but I'm hopeful that I can retain some of the plans I am currently making!0 -
Welcome The Forgetful One (love the name!!). I'm also getting married on July 28th 2012, and I'm a supply teacher.
Well done one what you have planned so far - and finding THE dress!! Did you know as soon as you put it on??
Everyone here is very friendly and give good advice and opinions!! What's next on your wedding planning list then? I'm off to see the reception venue again tonight and to pay our deposit:j It'll be the first time my parents and hubbie to be's parents will see the place aswell!! Just hope they like it!! xx:j:j Getting married 28th July 2012 :j:j0 -

If you have the details I will contact them. I always prefer to go with someone who has been recommended as you never know what to expect.
welcome the forgetful one, I am also getting married 28th July. If you look through this thread (I know its long) but you will notice that most of us are some way in the teaching profession.0 -
Hi Rach27184
I had a fairly good idea when I first put it on and then went back with my MoH and mum and really decided then. It's one thing off my mind, and at least I can still remember the name of it! Next I'm looking at photographer, cakes and flowers, all the big jobs! But I signed up to a thread of people in my area and they have already suggested good companies for photographers and flowers. I'm really please I joined with such a lovely reception from so many people :j
Hi tfutcher, it doesn't surprise me about the number of teachers, it's a good day just into the holidays before leaving lots of time for honeymoons and planning!0 -
REALLY sorry to read about your Grandad Laura - bug hugs xxxx
*stamps her feet, gives into a bridezilla moment, and screams*
I WANT A DRESS!!!
Lol s'not fair it feels like I'm the only one who hasn't got a dress sorted!!
Being serious now - Welcome The Forgetful One (do you have a real name that we can call you by?)
*holds her hands up*
I'm another teacher.
I can't believe how many of you are getting married on the 28th!!
Thanks for that info on the 3 for £10 Fawny - shame I can't start stocking up now ready for next year lol but I've read it's best drunk within the year so I will just have to sit on my list until then... but that would certainly help the costs as I'd be budgeting around £16 for 3.
As I was driving home today I had a little light bulb moment. I have decided for the party I'm going to create a big photo frame filled with all the cards we've given each other every year on our anniversary (we're getting married on our 13th anniversary of meeting each other). I think the frame I have is A1 but I might be wrong.Think this will be a lovely touch - then everyone who comes can see our journey in cards
Awwww lol.
How did your interview go Rach?0 -
Hi Mrs Dink, I'm Jemma *waves back excitedly*
I love the idea of the photoframe - it will make it really personal to you0 -
Lol I've stopped having a mini-strop now
welcome to the best month & year to marry in!!
And thanksI can't wait to start on it - going to have to get rid of MrD so I can start. (Want it to be a surprise for him too).
Ooo his pressie for this year's anniversary arrived today, and his birthday pressie. (Got him some foot spa elemis things for the anniversary, and some men grooming for his birthday - we're having a joint pressie at Christmas - a new iMac).
Oooo talking of the devil he's just popped to his mums - off to go see what size the photo frame is!0 -
Well I've had a looksee - I have found only 8 of the last 11 year's anniversary cards he sent to me (really gutted I have thrown 3 out - lol that is assuming he gave me one each year lol), and only 2 of the ones I've sent him. Have found other cards like Valentines day and Birthdays that he's sent me. Will still do it though
Just will have to think about the size of the frame
