:TRach for getting the job. I wouldnt feel disheartned yet, for a start you maintained which is good, I personally find when I lose weight that it takes a week or so to getting results, and you may find you may have lost an inch or 2 which would still be good. We did the same with a chinese tonight- I must stop picking aswell!!
Im jealous you only have 2 days to go- I have just under a month to go!!0 -
I've been trying to lose weight since November last year!! Weigh exactly the same now as I did then!! These pounds are not shifting!!!
Where are you watching them??xx:j:j Getting married 28th July 2012 :j:j0 -
Hi all - well done Rach on the job - boy just reading what you did this weekend work wise has made me feel tired!! If you ever want help Rach on losing weight just ask
(Lol I say this in the nicest way possible - but I have lots of people around me saying they'd like to lose weight then when I try to help they become very defensive and don't listen.)
For tea tonight I had lamb chops with a minty sauce, served with 'roast' veggies (carrots, beans, and shallots in the oven with 1 teaspoon of oil), mushrooms & soy sauce, red onions & balsamic vinegar, and spinach & garlic... feeling VERY full now indeed... and I still have a yoghurt, half a tin of lychees, and a hotel chocolat truffle to eat yet :T
We haven't had a take away in 5 weeks. And we're not having one for another 7 weeks... Lol on the night of dress shopping I've promised MrD that we can have a dominos pizza. Then I'll carry on maintaining/losing my weight till we go wetsuit shopping :T. (Now *THAT* is incentive and half - lol at least with the right wedding dress you can hide any lumps and bumps...!)

Oh your dinner sounds yummy. We dont have takeaways very often, we had one tonight as a treat- plus in my mind its been a little holiday and im in holiday mood until tomorrow and then I must start being good, I say this often and then am rubbish but I really need to start being good so hopefully as its just over a year this will be enough motivation.
I obviously dont need to worry about wet suits but I do want to make sure I look good in a bikini!!:rotfl:0 -
My biggest problem when it comes to food is planning and organising it. Pre-Diet I would come home from school tired, stuff my face with chocolate & diet coke sitting on the sofa waiting for MrD to come home... he'd come home and then we'd start talking about what we fancied for tea - the convo would go something along the lines of... "what do you want for tea?" "dunno/don't care".... an hour later "what do you want for tea?" "dunno"... another hour later "I can't be bothered to cook shall we get a take out?". We'd get up to 5 takeaways a week :S!! It's a slippery slope for me
Gulp - the dreaded Bikini!! Lol atleast with a wetsuit I can coverup all my bruises and imperfections (I bruise VERY easily - and I'm always walking into tables at school).
Can someone PLEASE make the next 7 weeks go quick so I can go try dresses on!! Hating this waiting!! I want to sort out my bouquet, MrD's button hole, my accessories! *stamps her feet*.I do keep looking at the Alice dress - I so can't wait to try it on!!

My biggest problem is having a desk job were I can just snack on crap through the day!! If I can cut that out and get to the gym regularly Ill be ok!!
Oh I bruise easily aswell, but hopefully with a bit of sun they wont show too much!! Im just hoping my keyhole scars are faded by then!!
When you try dresses on I would suggest trying the alice dress on first, otherwise any other dress you try on you may not pay full attention to and then if you dont like the alice dress when you put it on you wont remember what the other dresses were like!!0 -
Lol that is precisely what I'm going to do. My first appointment is at the bridal shop that stocks the Alice dress (and told me they have it in).
Like you said - I will either love it straight away and compare every dress against it, or hate it and be able to move on.
I'm sure your little scars will heal lovely.
Right beddie byes time for me... and hotel chocolat trufle mmmm0 -
Before I got my dress I went and tried a couple of dresses on and there was one that I loved, anyway I tried the others on first and then tried the lovely dress on, the lovely dress looked awful on, it was cut funny and not flattering at all, and there was one dress that I had already tried on that my mum and sister liked but I couldnt really remember what it was like, so glad I left it though as I love my dress.
I do hope so, im not sure how much they fade, will have to look at my mums as she has had the same op!!
I have the day off tomorrow!!:j0 -
Gutted - woke up thinking it was Sunday - then realised it was Monday - Gutted!0

Ahhh I have been rubbish at keeping up with this thread this week, have been so busy.
I have had the busiest weekend ever, had to take a load of children to a judo competition (not mine, I teach them in my spare time - they did fantastically but it is a very long day - up at 6am and not home until 8pm)
Well done on the job Rach :-)
Also loving the framed cards, they are fab, very original idea!
I have bought a tiara, which I love, it is a leafy effect (I think that is the best way to describe it) sort of look. It's not too big either, too big would make my head look silly.
I have now hit a brick wall with the wedding, not sure what to do next. I think I may have to start my production line of invites and other stationary so that it is ready well in advance. Trying out various types of wording on the inside. What are people planning on doing for gifts? I'm finding this particularly difficult as we don't need anything really so I am not sure :-(0
