If it at all helps everyone is finding my future marital name the epitomy of comedy. My current name is quite nice and I like it. However my marital name will rhyme... big time and the surname is also a first name lol. Still debating whether I am going to take his name or not, OH says he does not mind what I want to do because he understands (which is nice). Is anyone else having issues regarding taking of surnames?0

Heh heh you could always change your first name too.... in all seriousness though I did considering keeping my maiden name for work... but that went down like a lead balloon. Which in a way is really sweet considering how long it took me to persuade him to marry me in the first place!!
(Oh I have now decided that to add something special to our buffet table, as well as the usual confetti etc I want some wooden letters - which I'll probably paint in burgundy so they stand out more - I now have to decide whether I want Mr & Mrs or Love... or even Just Married Decisions Decisions :T Loving having something to google though!)0 -
Awww sweet! I think the lead balloon effect is obviously a sign of an epic victory on your part.
woop I love wooden signs! I have purchased one off ebay (only a small one) which says 'Candy Bar' because I am making a sweet table for our reception (not sure which sweets to put on said table but i like the idea). I think they are great, especially if you customise them because then they are individual to you and nice to keep etc. The one I got is only like ply wood thickness, I think a cube/block effect might be better, so I might have to take up the search again!
I am keeping my maiden name for work because I am a legal type so I think my clients might just laugh at me if I had a rhyming name, as well as a few judges!0 -
My new surname will be quite short. Ill have to practice as my current signature has my middle intial aswell as it really flows but ill have to have a play around (closer to the time!!). The one good thing is at least my new surname is nice and simple so I wont have to spell it out all the time, (along with my first name but then people will never get that right hence why I stick with Emma on non official things!!).
Judobird- I would say go with whatever your happy with- I personally think a rhyming name would be fab!!:D0 -
Judobird- any chance of a link for your candy bar sign? I want a small quite dainty one for my sweetie table.0

There we go, they are quite sturdy
re the surname I think I will just have to come to a decision at some point, I guess I have a year lol0 -
I *knew* I Should have put "mr & mrs" into Etsy - I now want these: http://www.etsy.com/listing/71872966/mr-mrs-cake-forks-vintage-silver-plated?ref=sr_gallery_3&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=Mr+%26+Mrs&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade (Although I'd want a Mrs on a fork and a Mr on a spoon - he's a heathen!)0

Thank you very much- I was just looking and that was the one I found and quite liked, was thinking I could paint it a dark pink and then maybe glue it onto a cream background (just working out in my head how I will get that to stand up!!) Or maybe I would it as 2 seperate ones and could have each word on a cream rectangular block of wood free standing. Hmmm, decisions!!
Im now looking at other signs on ebay and am also loving the 'let them eat cake' one for the cake table!! I love the Mr and Mrs ones aswell!! Hehe, Im thinking they would be kinda cool as our name places for the tables- I could so get carried away here!!:rotfl:0 -

What shop in Southampton is it. I live in Southampton so might take a look.
My new surname is a lot shorter than mine and I have no idea what my signature is going to be like0 -
Some shops are funny about giving out designer numbers, but not the designer name. This is so you can't find out if another shop has it. However, some shops are so helpful and give you all the details so you can shop around. This is the shop i have got my dress from.
xxxxxx
Your red hair looks really nice Natalie, are you keeping it that colour for the wedding then?If it at all helps everyone is finding my future marital name the epitomy of comedy. I have no idea what to do about thatI like my name, it's foreign and quite unusual in this country which I like, even though I do often have to spell it out. Oh's is really boring and plain (it's Cheryl Cole's maiden name, without the y
) and although it's a good solid name, it's just a bit... meh. Also changing it means loads of hassle in terms of ringing round everywhere. But then there's also the hassle of people assuming that I am Mrs T...
Dilemma eh! I guess I could use my current name for work.
I haven't done anything weddingy for a while, I've kinda lost interest a bit I think haha!
I could probably do with sitting down with OH and finalising the guest list but I have been saying that for a while haha!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0
