I am really hoping that the two shops I've got appointments with aren't like those shops Rach!! I've had good email communication with them so I'm really hoping they aren't! Both of them have replied to my initial enquiry into short wedding dresses with suggestions that I was then able to google - including the Donna Lee Designs dress that I have my eye on. So I'm taking that to mean they don't mind telling me who the designer is or the name of the dresses... but I guess I won't know till I get there!! Less than 8 weeks to go now!! :T I *cannot* wait!!

Sounds like you had a fab night Mel :)

Right I hope you all have a good first Monday back (for those who have had time off).

Well I am sat at work, taking a lunch break and realising that despite my thinking I was well planned, I am not. I have designed an invite, but need to make them, very simple design, but hey I was never much one for arts and crafts at school. I got a stencil and some white card, played around with various colours and came up with a nice purple colour and I think it looks quite nice... once I can post pictures I will post a picture. Biggest problem is the wording on the inside.

I definately found finding my dress has been the best part of the planning so far!

Hey Newbies (I am one to talk really, I am very much a newbie, but feeling very at home in this thread!) and welcome. Anyways I best get back to work, otherwise I will have no funds with which to pay for said wedding!

    Speak soon peeps xx

Really glad you feel at home already on here Judo!! :) I can see we have another chatter on our hands here girls!! :rotfl:
Can't wait to see photos of your invite designs!!

Do I dare admit to practicing my new signature today? Lol and I don't like it!! I'm trying to decide if I can just slightly adapt the one I currently do!

:T yaaaaay Rach for finding the dress online - are we allowed to know which it is?

    Lol @ Curious George!

I really like them Tracey!! It's these little touches we're missing out on by not having things like top table. I was talking to a colleague today about table centrepieces... that because we're not having tables to sit around at our reception there isn't any need for table decorations. We will be decorating the buffet table and cake stand - but can't really get some really nice fish bowl vases and put floating prettiness in them on there!

Oh and PS - we were at a koi show yesterday - can't remember if I said that or not... anyway we were snapped while we were there:

Meet MrD (albeit with his head down) lol. (Shows the redness of my hair off better!)

*edit* don't want the owner of this photo to feel like I'm pinching it and not crediting him for it... so here's the full link too: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8189261@N05/5802136144/in/photostream

Hello Judobird- Im glad you find us welcoming and you feel at home on here.
Tracey- im liking those glasses, my friend recommended a shop in Southampton to me where she got some flutes from, but I will have to compare prices and see how much the ones she recommended were, but im really liking the ebay ones.

I havent practised a new signature but at the mo my intials flow, but when im Mrs H they wont!!

Lol that is my problem - at the moment my surname is very up and downy letters - MrD's surname has lots of roundy curvy letters which I don't like lol. Let's call the whole thing off!! :rotfl:
