Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

I got 6 months half price with no contract .I am out of contract though , seems they have charged me even less though previous charge £52 pm ,supposed to be 1/2 price £26 + £10 hd ,but this months bill is £20.17 ??

I hadn't read this thread before, and was about to post this until I realised that it was already being discussed........

DH rang sky today to say we wanted to leave (genuinely - we only really watch the terrestrial channels, though the kids do like the children channels and we use the Sky+ features). We are on the basic £20ish/month package. They offered us half price for 6 months if we stay. V happy.

I just rang through and got offered nothing. Might try again tomorrow. Do they not keep records of how often the same person calls?

After starting this thread a few weeks ago I have been staggered how many times it has been viewed and the numbers of positive (and a few negative replies).
To finish my story I have now deceide to move everything to Virgin as I already have Virgin Broardband and Telephone and they have made me an offer of better than half price for 12 months so all in I will be paying less than my previous Sky TV only bill for phone, broardband and top TV package (Sport and Movies)
Up side I also get ESPN, downside only Sky sports 1 & 2 in HD and will need a different "Magic eye" for upstairs.
I will now have to hope that I like my "Virgin TV" as much as my Sky which I have had for 15 years!!!!

I managed to get a free Sky + HD box (tho we dont have HD), 'just' 3 months 25 % off , 6 months free line rental and a £30 credit.

So why do I still feel agrieved I didnt get the half price tv deal

i got my 6months half price hd subs just after xmas, got my letter with payments on today and they are charging me full price, rang them and i havent got half price hd lol so i said i was told i was getting it so he has noted it down for for finance dept or something. will ring back in a week to chek they have sorted it. not happy as i didnt want the hd subs anyway just the hd box
