Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

You need to say you're going to cancel - don't "ask" for a discount or they'll know you aren't leaving. Tell them you've leaving because you've had a better offer from BT/Virgin etc, and they'll offer 50% off the TV subscription. One of the advisors said to me they can only offer one offer PER CALL (she made a point of the "per call" bit a few times because I was really pushing for me)
So get the 6 onths off, then call again and get the deals on the HD/phone/BB stuff. DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING THAT COSTS YOU MONEY OR TIES YOU INTO A LONGER CONTRACT.0 -
Have managed to find out what credits they can put on peoples accounts. They can only apply ONE of these credits on 1 call:
50% Sky TV for 6 months
25% Sky TV for 12 months
£12.50 Sky Connect Broadband for 6 months
£20 credit off your bill.
Went for the 50% Sky TV offer. Happy days, has saved us atleast £60.Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000
Mortgage free: When i'm 39 / Sept 2023
Mortgage repayment = £588

I got a free HD Sky Plus box and free installation, plus broadband down from £10 to £7.50 (which ties me in to a 12 month contract) and 25% off my bill for a year (they seemed to think it was slightly better value than 50% off for 6 months).0

Had a 6 month half price offer that ended early December, phoned today (to "threaten to quit";) and as +box is playing up) and without hesitation I was given the following two offers:
A) Free HD Box, free install, 12 months 25% discount on TV package, but would have to pay 12 months HD subscription at full price.
or6 months half price and free engineer visit to 'sort' +box or most likely replace with a new HD Box (without HD subscription).
A was a good deal, but not too bothered about having HD channels, and it would have cost more than paying now, so offer B accepted. Engineer visiting Tuesday :j.
Saving over next 6 months £73.50:D
Good luck everybody, hope you get what you want.0 -

I rang this week and got 6 months half price tv, free HD box and installation, plus 6 months half price HD subscription too.
I pestered for 12 months half price but didn't get it anyways, very pleased, has saved us nearly £200 - we're paying £60 per month package incl multiroom.
Thanks again OP.
Happy moneysaving all.0 -

I was offered the 6 months half price TV but the advisor said it automatically comes with a 12 month contract, which is standard. How have others tried to get the contract element waived during the call so the offer becomes 6 months half price with no tie-in thereafter?0
