  • Hi all,

Im new to the sun holidays, and hoping to apply by post today. But Im just wondering ifd there's a way to see whether particular dates and holiday parks are gone already? I was looking at the wollacombe bay ones but they seem quite popular from reviews so if they've already gone i might as well pick another.

Also if you tick to say you are happy with any park in the area, does that hinder your chances of getting one of the parks you've put down?

Sorry for the questions and thanks for any help.

There is no way to check the availability of whats left - but if you don't need school holiday dates theres a good chance you'll get the park you want.
From memory you can either put down a specific park or any park in that area -you could try including a note explaining that if your first choice isn't available then you would be happy to go to any in that area.

Hope you get what you want!:)

    Hi

We are first timers for the Sun deal and have collected all the tokens. We've read the guide and it asks for us to choose from the selected dates when wee would like to go. Trouble is we can't find the "selected dates" for Europe 7 day hols anywhere! (We've found the UK ones)

We have a 2 month old and are looking to have a break outside school hols this summer.

Does anyone know where we can find the dates? Do we just put down any dates and they choose the nearest one for us?

    Thanks.

    Joe

Online booking is for people who have been before and received a letter with a code from The Sun, I believe.

    yes that's correct
you can only book online @ ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk if you have a priority code

Has anyone else been stung like this?

My invoice charges £60 for the hire cost - and £30 for linen:eek:

But then it only takes away £38 already paid, when I actually paid £60 plus the booking fee.

I haven't called them yet though, it might be easily sorted (and I need to cancel the linen charge anyway). Their £152 total charge is a bit steep for a Sun holiday, especially for a park with hardly any facilities - it's more expensive than Butlins but doesn't even have an indoor pool!

If I hadn't thought that, when I saw the invoice, I may not have noticed the discrepancy.

Thanks pip007. It's just the two of us so we've put out of season dates - so hopefully we'll be OK. If not there's always next time! :)

i'm pretty sure that you cannot book a European holiday at all unless you have received a priority code.
