I booked to stay at Parkdean Sanford last year with the sun promotion and I didnt pay to upgrade. We got a brand new three bed caravan with heating in all the bedrooms and bathroom. I think the standard of Parkdean accommodation is better than the other holiday companies so I'm sure you will be fine.

I agree. we have had a few Sun hols. The last one was by far the best. It was Parkdean Nairn Lochloy. It was also a brand new caravan, lovely and clean with 3 separate large bedrooms. we were glad we didnt bother to upgrade.

We booked and paid for ours online for October, in the free entertainment passes/ free service charge time.
Then this morning we got a bill from the holiday park, for linen hire £8.50(which we didn't want) and £19.50 service charge!

Adding £28 to our holiday. We specifically chose the place where we were going as it had the free S/C /entertainment passes, so !!!!!! is all that about?

Has anyone else been stung like this?

Don't know about the service charge- but if the booklet/website stated free I'd query it.

As for linen= phone the park, tell them you don't want it and take it off- i've always taken my own (prefer my own bedding, and knowing who has slept under it) and it's never been a problem.

I managed to book online on the second night (non rocker!) and booked one £15 and one £9.50 holiday. I do remember there being posts about people booking more. It looks like their bookings must have been accepted and thats why its been changed.By the sounds of it Sun seems to change its rules as it goes along!!!
  • When I booked mine online the terms said that you could book one £9.50 AND one £15.00 holiday using your priority booking code so I booked one of each, paid for them both (my bank statement say that I have paid for two holidays) and received confirmations by email for both.

However, this morning I received the same email as the other poster saying that my priority booking code allowed me to book either a £9.50 holiday OR a £15.00 holiday online but that I could apply by post to book further holidays. Talk about moving the goalposts.

They haven't mentioned anything about cancelling one of my bookings or sending me my money back so I am assuming that both booking still stand unless and until I hear otherwise.

It seemed that to start with you could book as many holidays as you wanted with the codes (I booked two as per the original rules) but then it seemed that people were selling there 'used' codes on ebay for other people to use and book holidays. I know a few people who also passed there 'used' code onto friends and family to book (who then passed it on again)
So the number of holidays booked in relation to the number of codes given out would be miles out. The sun have obviously realised this and I think they have stopped mulitple bookings as a result. Frustrating for a lot of people!

as ever the greed takes over and spoils for the rest of us ! :(
  • Theres not been anything mentioned about cancelling any holidays has there though?
I booked a £9.50 one for my family and used the ciode again to book a £15 one for my friend as she hadnt had a priority code.

I wouldnt be so bothered if I had used code to book both for me but when its for someone else it makes me look bad if its cancelled
