As I mentioned in this thread already, this awful company adds hours onto my working week due to their uselessness. I work for a marketing company who send out lots of products, and let's say of 5,000 people in a campaign we'll probably have to deal with about 250 who say their kit hasn't arrived. One-by-one, emails back and forth trying to find a resolution to their issue.

    Far too many complaints.

If they are that bad why do you use them?

Our local guy is great, he knows when we will be in and comes then.
I have just used them to send a parcel, less than a quarter of Post Office price.

Oh lord, just spotted this thread. I've got something I bought from EBay recently which is supposed to be coming via Hermes. Wish me luck...

You'll be fine. They're one of the biggest courier networks in the UK. You're always going to get a small number of complaints.

Well, I've been in for days waiting for my item to arrive (estimated delivery date was 13th-15th) The seller handed it over to Hermes last week. Apparently it's "in transit" ..

I don't think I will bid again on items where the seller uses Hermes :( The Royal Mail seem far more reliable and are much quicker!

It's now the 18th and it's not turned up. Seller doesn't know what's happened to it, Hermes won't accept queries and has no contact telephone number. In future I am going to make a point of not buying items which will be sent via Hermes, I've seen so much bad feedback for them on the net. Pity I didn't see it before i made this purchase :(

I think its Karma, before the parcel was due you were fearing the worst and were sure they were going to mess it up. The universe has responded by giving you what you expected ;)
