i have been waiting all day i hope i receive my parcel on monday.
    PLS, PLSSSSSSSSSSS DONT USE HERMES
  • Purchased something from eBay which was sent through Hermes. They failed to deliver after 10 days, pretending that there was a postcode error. The postcode was correct. I suspect that this is a way of them trying to claim that they deliver a high proportion of correctly addressed consignments (ie by pretending all the ones they don't deliver are wroingly addressed). Couriers come to my house every day, but Hermes could not manage it. It is just not good enough to say that it is not the company's fault, but the fault of the local courier. Who employed the local courier? Embarrassingly incompetent. They even refuse to speak to the poor addressee, because they claim they have no contract with them. AVOID.
  • Not only do they throw parcels over our side gate; they don't bother to reply to "How can we help" requests. Gives you a reference number and then ignores you.

Last parcel was shipped on 14th October but delivered on the 22nd, a distance of less than 25 miles.

Problem is, even John Lewis use this courier.

Well it must be just down to the local depot or the drivers, I have been having goods delivered to my place for the last 4 years {3/5 deliveries per week} and to date only ONE item in all that time has gone missing.
I have had many changes of courier in that time and have always found them polite and helpful. I may just be one of the lucky ones but I give praise where it is due and I am sorry for people who are not as lucky with the company as I have been.

Had a card left last week from a Hermes courier which had her phone number hand written on it. I contacted her and parcel was delivered the next day within the times arranged. Excellent service.
    It's someone else's fault.
  • it's definitely down to your local courier to the level of service you recieve, ours has always left parcels in the shed for us which is fine, however last month we came home to a card smeared in blood, with the words 'cat got my hand' with the parcel in the shed. my cats are both indoor cats so it's lead me to wonder why she had her hand so far in to just leave a card. Since this incident though, she will no longer deliver to my house, no one has told me of this no phonecall/email or letter, i've been left to assume this when parcels have been returned to senders or i've not received things i've ordered! now i understand she may be wary after the 'cat got her hand' however she could have let me know she would no longer deliver, or just left it in the shed like she used too!
i'm so annoyed about this after paying nominated day delivery for one parcel which was returned and never receiving a dress for a friends wedding.
Little communication please! (speaking of, it's almost impossible to ACTUALLY contact them)

Ours does this too, and often returns the same day. In the snow two years ago, when RM all but gave up on deliveries, the Hermes courier was still delivering right through to late christmas eve! ;)

They've lost it. The next tracking event you should get is delivered. The fact you haven't implys it's gone missing. 7th is too long for it to still be on its way.

Oh lord, just spotted this thread. I've got something I bought from EBay recently which is supposed to be coming via Hermes. Wish me luck...
