  • Afternoon All, i've just registered so thought I would say hello! Today my morning has mainly been spent baking Lentil and Carrot squares for my little ones packed lunches, and starting to plan out the veg patch that is currently a bare patch of soil in the garden of our new house. Halfway through the joys o packing and surrounded by boxes!! Hope you all have a good Saturday x

    Hi Chums
gers I too am a Stuart Macbride fam and have read them all and waiting for his new one to appear at the library.(it comes out this month) BBC are supposed to be televising it but I can't think who they would get to play Logan.
Very dark and overcast here in Kent plus its raining as well.Good job I don't have to go anywhere near a shop today.DD may pop in this afternoon for coffee as her OH and DGS Dan are off to football .
I want to sort out my spare room and get some of the craft stuff in crates moved to my computer room to free up some space .Upstairs wants a good hoovering as well.So I'll enlist DDs help when she gets here.
Hope everyone is having a good day
    Cheers JackieO
  • Afternoon all :)

Hope all is well, and you're enjoying your weekends.

We were up early this morning and off out to pick up the bits for the second car's re-MOT on Monday. OH dropped me off at Waitrose so I could pick up the bits to make his friend's hamper. Typically, his friend is now not answering his texts, so we don't know when he's coming or if he even knows that we're not here tomorrow

Oh well, it's his loss if he doesn't turn up.

Apart from that, I've tidied and cleaned the kitchen and will make a start on the living room in a bit. Then I'll be baking my best friend's husband's Christmas cake and putting together her hamper for when we see them tomorrow. Then I'll put together OH's friend's hamper, which involves Twinks' hobnobs and other goodies (including a layer off a huge Thornton's box of chocs - mum gave us nearly 2Kg of the stuff for Christmas and we'll never eat it!).

Then I'll start dinner which is chicken, ham and leek pie - all of which has come from the freezer as I did our inventory yesterday - mum thinks that freezers are for storing things in, and fridges are for eating out of . It became apparent that we don't actually have to buy very much for the next month there's so much in there. I did a small top up of tea, butter and cheese and my shopping came to £20. Mum did the same and hers came to £50, where it would normally be around £90-100!!!!

OH has just grumbled outside to start fixing the car - it's raining intermittently and blowing a gale, but if he gets it done today, he can be smug and spend tomorrow inside packing ;). I'll keep him going with tea and coffee and the hobnobs when they're made.

Hope you all have a good day, and hugs to those who need them.

    T xx

    Welcome Adamsmummy

Harrowing day yesterday but it really went well, there were so many people there that it was a squeeze to get everyone in the chapel, lots of tears. We then went on to a celebration of his life. Glad it is over, but there is still the trial to go and the b*d has pleaded not guilty

Just caught up with yesterdays posts - and Bramble I would be going apesh1t at him and would threaten him with the police because it is using your property to secure a loan which is fraud (((((((((Hugs))))))))
Your venue looks lovely BTW My DD wants to have her reception at Whipsnade Zoo - She had better start saving!:rotfl:

After days of gloom and rain we finally have some SUN :j I can't handle the dark days they just drain all energy away.

I am having a lazy day today just doing some knitting and other crafty bits - dinner tonight is a sweet chilli chicken stir fry.

    Take care everyone x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
