Indulge??? Oh yes... without a doubt. I have eaten enough cardboard dust, soggy cornflakes or hard toast to last me a long time. Soft egg with crispy edged bacon wins hands down, every time!

Morning all, i'm up at a reasonable time finally! Very tired but wanted to get to the shops early and cram a long day of usefulness in :D
No snow here, it's pretty mild and my heating is finally working-ish(hard to regulate the temperature, woke up sweating in 18C!). But it's so windy! it's ratteling the single glazing in the corridor like mad, the top one nearest my bedroom is awful, need to stop it somehow.

Swear I will have a useful day, finish my assignment and do plenty of revision :) Chicken and veg wedgies for dinner I think, and if I'm good, an ugly betty marathon before bed :D

gers, sounds like a spot on weekend. enjoy!

    Mornign all

I am just emerging from the stomach bug from hell which has seen me in bed since tuesday night! DH has been in charge so god knows what the dowstairs looks like although he has took fantastic care of me and not whinged about his extra load. I'm tired and drained (literally!) but I don't feel sick and although my stomach is a bit growly it feels better than it did. See how I get on today.

That's me. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. :D

    Morning All,

Definitely a bacon and eggs morning this morning, just sent OH out to buy eggs as I used all mine making a victoria sandwich last night which was delish even though I do say so myself!

Gers I have read everything by Stuart McBride, love his books but can be a bit gory.

Essex Girl the wraps sound scrummy, definitely tomorrows lunch.

Today will be a meat and potato pie with a suet crust Yumm, not great for my diet but hubby is spending the day under his car today so thought I would treat him. He needs to get it going for work

I agree about it being a good weekend, the madness of Christmas is over and we can chill. Tonight is movie night with quilts and popcorn. Our youngest is 14 now but he still joins in, Just. I used to love it when all four kids were little and jumping all over us:)

Anyway other than pie making, cleaning and catching up with some of my programmes nothing much else to report.

Have a good day peeps x

It's actually quite a nice morning here :) we had the torrential rain and wind overnight!

I woke up early which was a bit carp, but stayed in bed and finished my book. I'm currently debating whether to go to gym or stay here and do exercise DVD. Think I'll stay here, then go to gym tomorrow.

Finger's crossed I'm having my Xmas with the girls today :rotfl: it was cancelled 3 times due to illness and snow so hopefully we can do it today. We meant to be meeting in town for lunch and swapping presents. I also want to try to get to the library too as there is a book to collect.

No plans tonight. I need to finish uploading my CDs to Itunes before I post them off to musicmagpie so will probably do that and watch some tv.

OS wise - WM is on now, DW will go on after breakfast. I want to make a soup or 2 this weekend but may leave that til tomorrow. Need to hoover at some point too.

    Have a fab day all

    morning all

working my way through the washing this morning. two loads done and tumble dryer is on. dishwasher has been on and emptied. and have started painting the woodwork in the living room.

ds wandered into my room at 5 this morning saying 'cake' :undecided must have been dreaming. took him back into his room and he went straight back off. he's out for the day with alan. so its just me on my lonesome. think i am going to start talking to myself just for some adult conversation :o

right off to fold and put away the washing

    Morning all,

I dont care what time of the year it is, I love the weekends :j, get to spend time with my family, and no need to rush :D

Been pouring all night here, but seems to be clearing up now, so might risk some washing on the line, did 2 loads last night and put on the airer which are now dry and folded, which gives me a big head start on the weekends washing.

Need to hoover through and empty the bin and swipe the kitchen, make beds etc, any other cleaning can wait till monday.

On my way home from work yesterday I passed a man who has bird tables outside his house, he makes them from reclaimed wood, and they are beautiful, he makes them into churches etc, anyway they were marked down to £10 each, I had no money on me, so I want to go back today and get one, much cheaper than the shop ones, and much nicer :T

I also ordered online last night, some candy stripe flanelette sheets for a really good price, have been looking for these for ages, so very pleased with that.

Dinner tonight is a bit of a mixture, using bits and bobs from the freezer, I will do jacket spuds with salad, and then there is a small portion of chilli, some Pate and odd bits of cheese etc, might have to do dd something else, she is not keen on jackets.

Ok better get on hope the poorly ones feel better soon xx

Churchmouse, how lovely to see you posting xx

Bramble the venue looks great xx

Npm hope you are ok xx

    Jayward where are you ??

Lamewolf, Hope you and OH are ok too xx
  • Morning All,

We've got about three or four inches I would guess :( There is more forecast for tonight and tomorrow but hopefully it won't be too much more.

Glad to hear you are all getting better - JC, bet you've lost loads of weight :D

Nothing planned for today, we are having a bit of a clearout and OH will be doing a couple of DIY things he's been putting off forever, I also need to venture out and take a gas meter reading, I have a good credit on my account at the moment, and could do without paying the direct debit this month, so hopefully the last month's figures won't be too bad.

I also have some lemons to use up, I think though that I will just zest and freeze them as I need to cut back on the cakes, and I have condesned milk to use still, so need to use that first. The boys are going to their cousin's birthday party tonight, and I have cookies to make for that too.

Hugs spoons and hi5's all round.
