  • Awww I just had a message of a girl who came on my programme at work in the summer. I put her forward to be an ambassador for our charity. She is doing well at it and has just been picked to go to Africa to work on a project. She is so excited, and messaged me to say thanks :) It's nice to know I do make a difference to some people :)

    Morning all!!

BB - I have lost 2.6lbs in total this week!! Very pleased about that. Would like to lose another 1.5/2lbs next week. But this might be tough as at the moment i've been eating one big meal at lunch and then snacking, but now it's back to 9-5 i'll have to work hard not to snack in the day so much and have a lunch and a dinner.

I was up most the night wondering what to do about BIL, OH's head is a mess, he's devasted his own brother could do something like that to him.

I'm going to arrange to go have a look at the venue hopefully next weekend, there is a wedding fayre in the first week of Feb that i am going to go to too :D

So, today - got shopping delivery, its an 8 hour slot so need to stay in till that arrives, I don't think i will be going out today, my hair is greasy and really needs washed, but if possible want to put this off till tomorrow so i feel fresh and ready on monday for my new job! (my hair is very long and thick, takes an age to dry so don't want to do it today and tomorrow)

Will sort the house out, and put a wash on. Promised the pup i would take him to the country park near us now we have a car again for a long walk, either today or tomorrow if the delivery is later on this afternoon. Might try and rope in a friend to come along too with her dogs

Have a lovely day all, hugs to those who need them!

    xx

    Hola! everyone

Haven't had chance to read back yet. So ((hugs)) where needed and  to all
Good wedding date Bramble it will be our 38th on that day.

We did a very non-stop trip this time due to the time of year, set off from Niort at 8am and made it here by 9pm, don't highlight the next paragraph if you don't want upsetting.

Did I hear someone say you had snow, well Thursday was a wet journey all the way, but even though forecast it was lovely and dry yesterday, and today the sun is out and I am just wearing t-shirt and crops, and melting. :o

Unpacked, just need to hang some things up, emptied my fridge into a cooler bag, and then unpacked it into the fridge when we got here, loads of cheese left over from Xmas, also raided the freezer here for what I had put away before we went last time, a bottle of milk, bread, and some butter/marg, etc, so got them out last night, together with some meat to defrost. Too tired to go out when we arrived and had unloaded the car, so cooked some lorne sausage from the freezer, with some Aldi Beans I had brought a tray with us, and had that with more of the bread buns I made before we left, and have 3 left now, must be eaten today, probably toasted.

Will go and do a supermarket shop soon for fresh stuff, maybe a Lidl and then their equivalent of the Co-op which is our local one Consum.

Will try to read back later if I can drag myself inside.
    Take care DG

Monring everyone - quiet, dull but dry here. Hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them.
Got a load of parcels off into the post yesterday, then browsed the sales and spent a chunk in Lakeland (all needed, but it's just as well that I limit my visits to three or four times a year). They can be expensive , but they employ a hell of a lot of people back in the old county (including one of my uncles)so I try to visit during their sales.

Had a great curry out last night to celebrate a friend's birthday. Not very OS, but we got a lift back home with a couple who live in the next village across from us (saving us at least a tenner on a taxi fare). Garden tiger not impressed with us when we wandered in at 10.45 -, but she soon got over it. We watched Graham Norton while we were waiting for her to come in- and both of us thought that Keanu was on fine form(always had a soft spot for him..) ;)

This morning has been a combination of organising charity shop stuff and a touch of internet banking. When DH gets over his hangover, we'll go into town, drop off the CS stuff and pick up my shopping from last night. Then I'll go to knitting, and head back.

Lunch will be sweet and sour pork from the freezer, and tea will be part of a turkey joint that we got as a back up for Christmas (in case Aldi ran out of 3 bird roasts)and various vegatables. I need to make some soup out of the chicken stock that has been brewing this week, as well as continuing the freezer safari so we can defrost the monster next weekend.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    What have I missed?

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
