Skimmed through this thread after getting a call today.
I was just wondering - Has anyone actually tried to use their services? Are they definitely 100% a scam through and through? Mainly because not really that much was said about them in OP and it turned into a huge knock on of people cancelling.
Not trying to say they aren't a scam, just curious.
Interestingly enough the details for the address she had on me I moved out of 4 years ago, so no idea where they got that from. I asked and she said I must have filled out a survey or something.0 -
Unless you're planning to buy a great deal of stuff soon then I'd give it a wide berth. Their website has offers similar to those on TopCashBack, Quidco etc."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

That is what the old timeshare scams used to say - complete rot!

just haf a call off these. asked casually for my sort code to confirm the area I lived in. After a few more general questions - 'would I like to save up to 50% off... ' then was asked for account number - said 'No' then advised no money could be taken out without card number - WRONG it can with bank details.
Was then asked about saving more money ... then asked for account number. Said NO again and given number to ring them on - their hq apparently - and their website. Sorry but after reading reviews I'm not answering their calls and barring the number. NEVER NEVER NEVER give bank details out unless you want to loose money. Number is 01753 733733.0 -
Don't waste your time.. They phoned me this morning, she spoke so fast I missed where she was calling from. She wanted my sort code and account number and continued saying we can't take money out (but you're using it to take out £1
).
if it sounds too good to be true it probably is! If it is legit which I highly doubt then it's strange that you have to spend money just to save money.. it would only be beneficial if you go out buying a tv, fridge or sofa but still that's you nearly £100 out of pocket before you've even purchased anything.. never impulse buy and if you do make sure you can get it refunded like in a store for example.. never on the phone to a stranger who's number is private!0 -
It does sound like a load of rubbish, I got a sales call 5 minutes ago. Thank goodness for the internet, a quick search, and when she calls back, I'll tell her sternly that I'm not interested. Hopefully we can shut these rubbish organisations down0

New name? UK Premier Services membership club?
I've just received a call that I was ready to hang up. However the lady was nice and was offering money savings for £1 only membership. I agreed to pay for £1, however when she asked me to provide for the account details, I didn't want to give it as I can pay this £1 online or when I get the pack. The story was that I needed to provide account number only to confirm that I am the named account holder. She said that no money will be taken from it.
However, after several minutes of persuasion, I still wouldn't give the account number and said that I will check out with my bank first.
Have they changed the tactics?0 -
damn
ive just agreed to the £1 'trial' period over the phone now but looking on here it seems my initial concerns were justified
help??? how do i get this cancelled and stop them taking any more than the £1 from me?0 -
This is my first post on MSE - just wanted to say thanks to all the previous posters on this topic. Got a phone call this morning from a persuasive salesman. Buy everything at wholesale prices - everything so long as it is available for sale in more than one place. 200,000 members, exclusive club, though looking on here I note that it is strange that a few years on the figure hasn't changed from 200,000! I asked what I did to qualify for this exclusivity and was told I must have filled in a tick box when filling in an online survey - I obviously don't think I have done that. I can have access for a whole month by paying £1 then it will cost £98 per year. Apparently £1 is nothing, he told me I can't even get a bottle of milk for £1. So chuffed that I am already saving more money than he is just buying milk! He tried to get my email address out of me and move the conversation along every time I asked pertinent questions. I said I would look at their website but he said this offer was only available today. We left it that I will do some research and he is calling me back in the morning. It's safe to say they won't be getting £1 out of me and I won't be setting up any direct debits. 2016 and the money club is still very much alive.0

Been getting calls from a private number for about 3 weeks. Turns out to be The Money Club. I realised immediately this was a scam & when I started asking the difficult questions she put phone down. Who falls for this drivel??0
