Total rip off. They ask for account details to debit £1 but instead take £98 out of your account. Wouldn't have minded if they actually provided a good service even. STAY AWAY!!!!!0

Called today, typical pushy phone call, if you're read thru a lot of this thread. Foolishly said yes, then came here and read all this. Phoned my bank, who are not going to add any DDs to my account without asking me first. IF I get anything thru the post I will write them back recorded, telling them I am cancelling.
Coincidentally, just after I got off the phone I got loads of spam emails. Maybe they are selling off the emails they harvest. They got onto me as I answered a few questions by a money saving company who stopped me in my local Tesco.
Moral of the story is I am NEVER giving out ANY of my personal details again.0 -
Just got the same phone call from 01753441503 - Angie was offering me all manner of savings on white goods, holidays, insurance, Groupon, etc etc - trying to find something to make me hand over my details and my £1 (oh really?) for a 4 week trial! Luckily got straight onto this thread while she was bending my ear - told her I used Money Saving Expert and all the Comparison Sites - and Cash Back (she tried that one too
) - so was more than happy that I could make the savings myself without spending £98 :rotfl:

End of June 2014 and they're still at it!
I just had a call from 01753 441503 asking for my mother by name and, once he knew it wasn't her on the phone, saying she had requested information from them. That seemed unlikely to begin with...
He gave the spiel, then offered to send an information pack in the post. No problem, said I. Ok then, he said, which bank are you with? I answered that and he asked for my sort code. Why did he need that to send me an information pack? Oh, that will also include your membership card...
Needless to say, I went straight to the computer and did a quick search. I asked for the name of the company - surely at the point somebody asks that they then know there'll be a search for it? He told me to put in their website address. I came here. So, no ball!
Remember, that's 01753441503 - & by the looks of it a few others too! OK, will try to get these together to help google hits on this forum... Happy (genuine!) shopping!
Numbers seem to be...
01753441503 01753 441503
01753441520 01753 441520
