Hi,
How funny we are all back lurking on here! I think for me it's realising that it's less than 6mths away and we've still loads to do! Time is flying and by the time xmas and new year are over with it'll be countdown!!
Bit of a wedding weekend to be had this weekend - invites me thinks and perhaps ordering bridesmaid dresses....
Busy busy
P.S - we're having few minor issues with the money side of things too which is stressing me out ....OH just says "it'll be fine".....doesn't stop me worrying though :mad:0 -
has anyone had a productive wedding week?! I am chuffed to say my invites are finally assembled! Just need to print off RSVPs and write on them and then I can send them out! I may take a pic to show you all
I'm glad there are a few more April brides with money struggles - we will get there ladies I know we will! At the end of the day we just need us, our loved ones and a bit of merriment and things will be good, we will get there (this is my attempt at being positive!) :rotfl:Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often!

We have booked our car for our honeymoon (harder than it sounds when you are 23 and 24) and the hotel for the night before the wedding. So getting there with things. Less than two weeks now till we go up to Edinburgh for a long weekend and sort the flowers and cakes and meet the photographer and see the venue. Then we will be done with most things.
We are just looking at invites etc and trying to decide what to have. I really want the wedding invitation tea towels but they are just so expensive I can't justify themso we are looking at other options. Most say they have other items in the range, i.e. thank you cards, orders of service.
I have only been to two weddings before, one when I was about 10 and the other was a good 5 years ago so can't really remember. Because of this I am at a bit of a loss as to what is needed stationary wise. We are having a very small wedding, around 20 guests, but our name places, personalised menu plans and table plan are included in our venue package. What else do we need aside from invitations (although everyone who is invited already knows and almost all have booked their flights and hotel already)?0 -

Hi ladies,
Well I have hit the 5 month mark today. To say it has made me a little nervous is an understatement, so many things to still organise.
I finally found a florist that I liked, who did not want to rip me off. The first place I went really confused me, and there prices were so high for the flowers I wanted. I could of understood them being higher if it was a someone a little bit 'posh', but it was just a back street kind of florist. They tried to make out the flowers I had picked were really expensive in April (i'm talking freesias and iris etc, not orchids etc), and kind of pushed roses on me which I said I do not want, as this was supposedly make them cheaper?
The florist we have chosen however was fantastic. They have been established for 20 years, and its a mother/daughter set up. She really helped me to choose flowers that should be in season, and which ones look great with each other. Had loads of great advice, so we go this Thursday to pay deposit etc.
What is everyone else having for their wedding flowers? I am having my bouquet, bridesmaid, buttonholes and a centrepiece for the top table. Would love flowers on each table but not sure if I can justify spending so much money on flowers. Not sure what flowers to have for buttonsholes either. Asked h2b several times what he would like, and he only tells me what he does not want lol. Leaving him to discuss this himself with the florist.
Miss Bolan - I am loving your positivityI have odd days were I don't worry, then the next day I'm petrified that when we come to pay off balances that we won't have enough. I think it's easy to forget that its just about the marriage, and not about the favours, centrepieces and table plans.
And now I need to think about centrepieces, arghhhh haha.0 -

I loved dress shopping and although I tried on lots of different styles I went with the one that is what I had originally gone looking for. It was the one where my mum cried when she saw me in it
I love it and can't wait for it to arrive.
