    Good Morning all

Well this morning I was OD by £15.30!!! !!!!!! excuse my French. As I don't have OD facilities now this is a big problem!!! Thankfully Quidco had paid out to another account overnight (£23) so I have made a payment to it and as they now do these fast payments now it's already in there and no longer showing as OD. Hopefully as I was only OD for an hour or 2 they won't charge me - maybe it's an overnight charging facility? Who knows.

The money that came out was for petrol that I'd put in on Thurs/Fri and hadn't realised it takes a while to show on available funds - some things show instantly and others are ages. So i am considering moving to cash only. This would be difficult for my online big shop that i do every 2 months. A way round that may be to put the amount the shop comes to into my separate account and just leave it there until they take it, using my other day to day account for cash only purchases.

The good news is I am not even considering using my CC's. 2 of them are destroyed anyway but the latest 0% one is sat in my draw and i could use it if really wanted to, but i really don't want to! So silver lining and all that.

I hope my boss is back today - she called in sick yesterday so another day with no expenses processed.

    xxx

  • Shocker, I know how that feels. I made an error in adding up and went £1 over and they charged me - so leave yourself some wriggle room for charges just in case.

Hope that boss of yours returns, Doesnt she know you need the mullah?

Right - I have finally had my singature from management so I can process the expenses. So i sent that off first thing and have asked them when the payment will be made. however i haven't had return receipt from the woman so i have a feeling she isn't in today! Typical or what. It won't be in this week anyway and as we're away at the weekend i won't be spending then as already paid for so I can deal with it. I do need a few items though for meals while we're away.

DS isn't too well so i hope he picks up to go tomorrow night. I think it's his teeth as he has a nasty molar coming through which made him gums bleed :( I will try and have a good look in his mouth tonight but the only time he lets me is when he is screaming his head off and i get a quick peek.

PPI update is that I have had a letter back from Halifax who are dealing with a Bank of Scotland letter ???? saying I have to go into branch and update my address as they have a different address to what was on letter - that's cos I moved duh and the others haven't had that problem!!!! So I will phone them when i get chance. being off work yesterday to look after DS I have loads to do today and am getting a flyer tomorrow so i think it'll have to wait until next week. A task for monday.

Nothing else to report on that front - I actually expect nothing from any of them but the price of a few stamps is worth it for the "just in case" side of it.

I also need to decide how to allocate the expenses when they come in. Only £232 but need food and petrol and owe my savings £50 which needed to tide me over.

Also I need to get insurance sorted although i haven't had a letter off them....must check on that too.

Ooooh just remembered - CB is due on 11th!!!! So even if expenses take a while, I have that to tide me over. I may invest in a bottle of Merlot for the weekend.....or 2. Apparently Lidl have some really nice ones for £2.99.

  • Id recommendthe wine and at the end of the month... tesco have an offer on where some cases are half price (I got a marvellous cab sav for a third of the price) and I went through quidco and got a further fiver off too, so one lot worked out at 2.50 a bottle and the other case was £3 a bottle.
Child benefit is a real lifesaver for me too this month, I have the wine to fall back on and can forget my skintedness.

I'm stashing all the responses in a private folder at work and will look into them next week. it's amazing how different firms have different standards.

Mint who i had the initial claim from didn't question anything, even the different address. Just sent me a chq! Yet Halifax (who i have no idea what claim they are replying to as haven't got/had halifax account) are saying I need to change my address in branch and so on. HSBC have found accounts I didn't know I had and barclays threw me out the window after first letter. Debenhams have just rpelied to say they're getting on with things. I have no idea what's actually go on with what. If I get a penny it's better than nothing though!

I have no will to work today - getting my hair done at 430 and taking DD too but just for the heck of it, she's not getting her hair cut. DH is looking after DS who I hope's feeling better - typical i have an appoiintment (very booked up so difficult to rearrange) on the day I wanna be with my son cos he is feeling poorly!!!!

Going to do some sums now and see if i can overpay the loan at the end of the month.
