  • Thanks hun - I am going to snowball to see how it helps.
    Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

    Loan 1 £1787
    Loan 2 £1683
    Total £8601 Was £39302
  • OOh I wonder how much faster your DFD will come!

Im quite excited about changing mine. Need to get Christmas out the way first...

  • Right my loan would have been paid in Feb 2014 and if I make overpayments to that instead of Virgin I will clear the loan in Oct 2012!!!!! So well over a year on that DFD.

My long term DFD is still under construction as first look makes it even further away lol. Given that I am clearing a higher APR and sooner so more cash to throw at debt sooner than it was, I think I may have mis calculated!!

So the focus has changed from Virgin to Loan. Principle remains the same though - get shot of this bleeding debt asap!

  • Non of my other payments have cleared yet. I put the other chq into the bank on Saturday so it'll be Friday before it clears, plus the £28 from Quidco and the £14.99 from Experian and £18.99 returns from last week.

I spent £37 on clothes for the kids winter wardrobe which I mentioned plus £10 on the treat 2 dine in for erm...£10 so £47 spent. Remaining £31 ish will go to debt once cleared.

  • Right, my DFD is all to pot so I am keeping my March 2014 for now. I will clear the loan asap then work on the next APR which is Virgin once that is done.

I need to find out of I can make overpayments online or not. There seems to be a bit of unsurity (sp?) on the boards.

  • The best thing you can do is get their bank details and your reference number and do it through online banking in that case.

    If that would work?

  • Right, I've found my sort code and account number and sent 18p across to it lol.

Will check tomorrow to see if it's changed. I wonder how the work out interest etc if making overpayments?

Will keep an eye on it......

  • So it's written down in case I forget....tonight I need to do a freezer inventory and menu plan. I've been backwards in coming forwards and have a tesco delivery coming tonight from 820 - 920 (they text me at lunch time) but no menu plan!!! I do tend to rotate similar meals though so I know everything I have will be used and alot of it is stocking up for winter with tinned goods etc...poor bloke who will have to carry it in.

SOOOO worth the £3.50 charge though - I couldn't carry it all!

Will post inventory and menu plan asap to keep me motivated.
