That's exactly the same as me. 9pm I have told DH to come off the computer now and either help me if I am not fin or we chill together for a bit but there's no way I get done befoe 930 normally.
I have a rota of what i do when but the problem is, DH hates planning and I love it so I need to suggest the things i have on the rota as spur of the moment ideas...ie "oh do you fancy going to the park for a stroll with us all?" (that I have had planned in 3 weeks in advance)....
Sat and Sun's are minimal jobs night's ie tea, pots, tidy, shower or if we're lucky we make use of our new extra big bathIt's nice to be able to chill in it and chat which sounds a bit oooh err mrs but what the heck.
We love board games and DD is now at an age where she plays and very well - for a 4 year old she kicks our butts!
I'm also going to schedule pizza and popcorn nights again or soup and pudding nights. DH is at the gym 3 nights a week so it's me and the kids for those nights so I enjoy my time with them just us. Pizza/popcorn are for me, DD and I as DS is too young yet and has an early bedtime.
What time's your youngest in bed skint? I think they're similar ages, mine is 15 months.

Forgive me lord for I have sinned.
Well actually I haven't. Maybe. Ish.
I needed a pair of non clarks shoes for DD for the events we have coming up at the weekend plus the coming winter. I love red and so does she so I know red shoes will match many of her outfits. So i found a pair and got them.....plus a dress top....plus a shirt n tie for DS. They were paid for in cash henc ehte "actually I haven't sinned" bit but really that money should be sent to debt....hence the "might have sinnned" bit.
The shirt and tie will only get use on special occasions but I didn't want DS being left out and not looking smart.. Spent £37 in total.
I have it there to spend though. Should be on debt, granted.Debt - CCV £3792

My little one is being a git at the moment and isnt in bed til ten, but it means I get to sleep through til 7. Am moving it forwards ten minutes at a time.... He was breastfed so routine was a bit of a concept.... have never enforced early bedtimes with any of them til starting school but both girls were on 8pm bedtimes at 2 and remained on them until leaving junior school, and thats what I am aiming for.
As for the rest you have to spoil the kids occasionally. Just move on and dont be guilty, its all about balance, or we would live on gruel and walk everywhere. xxTrying to shift that debt!0 -
Just been having quick read of DWF boards and got me thinking.
I have my loan with my bank who currently I am over drawn with - which is very naughty as I paid this off in March and then crept back into it to almost it's limit again in 6 months.
When I have asked the bank/loan for a better deal % wise they've said no. They said the do assessments every month or whatever it was taking into account how you handle your account. They said you need to keep enough in every month to cover the amount you want to borrow - ie always have monthly payment spare a month - well I don't as I move my money out of that account on each pay day.
So I am wondering if, when the PPI chq clears and I will have £750 in there (havng paid £500OD off) , should I leave the OD open to look more promising to them that I have cleared it.....Just reading this back and have already answered my own question. It'd be maxed out again by xmas.
Going to remove OD all together and I will clear 'next' blance on Monday then close that account too. I will use it far too easily otherwise - in an "emergency" or whatever. Not any more.
Ok from now on, every debt that gets cleared gets closed down. OK?Debt - CCV £3792

Lol - very true skint.
gruel.....yak. cheap though
DD is in bed for 8 now too, she is 4 and half and just starting full days so sometimes it's before then as she's cream crackered cos she goes to breakfast club too to allow me to get to work on time. Poor lassie.
DS can be asleep any time from 630 - 730 depending on how days does...or doesn't as case may be.
DS is a nightmare though....he is so full on - non stop if you know what I mean. Never a moment's sit down when he is round!

They are all different and he will get there.
Some days I have him in bed for 8, however he just hasnt "got there" yet and is still on baby time.
I tend to be a bit at their own pace for alot of things and touch wood, have had no issues with any of my three.
he doesnt trust the potty, and would rather keep things in it than sit on it, but I have introduced it and its becoming something friendly, haha.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Morning DF!
Finally got caught up
I completely agree on closing a debt once its cleared, at least half of what I owe has been cleared at least once before and left open "just in case"! It takes a while to get used to not having that safety net credit card but it certainly makes you be more organised! Which, by the way, you sound fabulous at!
Oh and thanks for reminding me about bedtime routines....DS just gets told "off to bed then" and off he goes, if he's not already taken himself! Got a feeling there will be a lot of adjustment in my house, starting soon :rotfl:0 -
Morning hun
Aww bless, you're lucky DS goes when you tell him lol.
Well last night I had a lovely relaxing night and did nothingBut that means that as DH did nothing too, everything was still there this morning to do (pots etc, tidy round) and as I slept in - it is still there!!! So although I had a lovely chill out, today I am stressed that I have had to leave the house in a mess otherwise would have been late and chasing my tail all day!
I have things to do at lunch time, pop to school (reception not open when I drop DD off at breakfast club) and pay for next week's club. Also I have items to return to a shop which are worth 18.99 and I need a pair of navy tights for DD outfit for the wedding we're at tomorrow. But I would also like to pop home and do the pots!!!! Can't leave them like that all day. I'm only supposed to have half an hour for lunch but I may squueze it out a bit todayIt is Friday after all.
Right, off to check my accounts.
Hope everyone's having a lovely morning, I am day dreaming of when I am rich and can afford our small holding. x x xDebt - CCV £3792
