I am hoping to go to one of Hugh's events next year, maybe the Summer fair or something. A very long way for us though so would be a road trip.
What's your 16 yr old making then?
xx
My friend went down to the Summer Fair this year, got rather wet! She had asked if I wanted to go but it seemed a long way to go for Hugh not even going to be there. Don't know why he doesn't attend his own fairs!
DD is making a Jamie Oliver Sweet and Sour Pork. I was fancying Levi Roots sweet and sour with tropical fruits but didn't want to rock the boat too much. They get unsettled if I try out too many 'new' recipes in one week :rotfl:
I done Hugh's Vegeree earlier this week which is kedgeree without fish (though we had some home smoked mackerel in it) and there was rumblings that it wasn't 'Jamies' kedgeree though they did like the veggies in it so my instructions for next time is to create a 'hybrid'!:DLBM April 2011 £4906

Do I need it? Can I afford it? Is it cheaper elsewhere?0 -
LOL fantastic!!!!
Yes it does annoy me that Hugh doesn't attend but I don't think he attends many of his own does he? I'd like to just go and see the place and how they run it and the quality of life there.
I'd love our own little small holding that was reasonable self sufficient, animals and a huge farm kitchen......started dreaming again now lol
Roll on paying this debt off otherwise I will neve get close to owning one!!!!

I have been to M&S for the dine in for £10 and it was manic. You'd think the world was going to run out of food. This resulted in me not choosing the best meal i could have. I was under pressure! Lol. It will be nice though I am sure although I have never tried the red wine before so hope it's one I like. I also have a starter as got some prawns out last night so a 3 course meal awaits us tonight.
I didn't manage to get to the bank or return the clothes items (which I have to do by 25th) so those are Monday lunch time jobs. I did get home and do the dishes, get my purse which I'd forgot, go to school and book n pay for the club next week then drive over to M&S and get tea plus the tights I need for DD tomorrow at the wedding so all in all not a waste.

Yes my DH is a firm believer that there should be meat on the plate if it's to count as a meal and when I put a meal in front of DD without meat she asks where it is except for soup that is.

Morning Diary and friends!!
Monday's normally feel yuck, however today is the day I will close next account and close my overdraft (if I can do the latter over the phone as don't have phone banking.)
So yey for that.
Weekend flew past and I don't feel like I have had one however given that I can close 2 debt accounts it will be ok
That's assuming the chq's cleared today which they said it would.
Off to check LOL

Cheque has cleared!!!! WAHOO.
So I have called Next and paid £230 to them to clear my balance and closed the account. They were fine about it and didn't even ask me to stay LOL. So I can no longer buy online from Next - it's the only way to guarentee I won't spend on it!
Then I called Barclays and the girl was lovely - was very surprised. She closed my overdraft immediately although takes 48 hours to show on account. She also advised me I can make over payments to my loan which I didn't know I could! How good is that, it's the highest apr I have too so I shall re jig my numbers this morning.
