Oh wow what a result!! How many months closer will that bring your DFD? Think Beccie's idea of keeping the £35 for yourself is a great one
Thank you for the bread link!0 -
That is fantastic news :T:T
I also think beccie's idea is also a good one xx0 -
Hi all
Thank you so much
Right I have done some figures.
My next bill is still a thorn in my side at <£300. So I will pay that off and close the account and make sure it's closed this time!
That leaves me just over 700. I plan to pay this to the biggy which means I will be shot of it in 2013 instead of 2014 which is great news. Then once that is clear I will pay the others with the payment that would have gone to the biggy.
So that's the inital plan and I am thinking of doing this in Aug pay as I have to accept their offer, receive the chq yet and cash it.
That will leave me with around 70 spare which I will put in my money box and have a think about what I would spend this on.
My new forecast is hopefully realistic and some months I am left with £5, more often £10 and occasionally £40/50 so there's room for manouver and PAD's.
I was in 2 minds as to whether I should put it away in an emergency fund as I never have a penny spare and worry that it may be needed at some point.....or towards a new car as I don't know if mine will make it through the winter.
OOOOh AND my mam bless her, was given £50 and has just given me £20 of it despite me saying no!!! She said to treat myself to a new top or something. How lovely - so I will do that for sure.
Things are looking up for a change.

Good morning all
Happy August although I am late lol. I had a busy day yesterday and updated my grocery thread which seems to have a lot of replies so need to catch up with them.
Bad news: I got some meat for a woman (ordered via hubby) and told her it was in my car, we both forgot to get it out until lunch time and by then it'd gone off! It was fine when hubby got it (I also got some) so now what do I do. She doesn't want to pay for off meat but it'll have to come out of my pocket otherwiseI hate it when things like this happen. It's chicken as well so I daren't even take the chance of keeping it for myself (haven't seen/smelt it yet myself but she said it was nasty) Sigh.
Off to check accounts and rovide updates - starting to get the shakes as not done them for a while (a day!) LOL

Right - i have posted on the DFW boards as I can't decide how to allocate this money. I am just bothered I make the wrong choice. I would like to see my highest balance down but then that isn't the highest APR !
I am defnitely closing next, that decision is made.
I have updated my signature and now 19.1% of my debt is gone :DJust over 30% to reach the top of the hump then it's all a quicker downhill from there (I hope!)
I will NEVER get CC credit again!
Off to look at grocery updates - it's going well there as although ppl don't know I am doing it, I seem to be getting free food and things offered to me

I would go for the highest APR first - I know it's depressing not to bring the highest balance down first but saving the most in interest possible will really help you xDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0
