    Thanks Peeps!

Today - the exam results are behind me. I am going to inform those that need to be told on monday and not think about it until then.

So then, where are we. Last night we went to a BBQ for my nana who is 88 :) It is lovely to get together - we have a family meal once a week which keeps us close but there were a few more there last night which is nice.

Therefore no tea needed to be made plus we got lots of left overs for lunches and such like. Good news all round.

I've also had a nice chat with someone at work who is yearning to live the simple life too. Was a surprise really - we have a lot in common. They are providing me with lots of thoughts and ideas for the new venture.

Money wise, not much doing. All bills paid except 1 DD which comes out at the end of the month.

I have £300 towards a sun holiday which we've been promising ourselves for years and DH is paying the rest - how lovely. So we shall be booking that soon to go in Oct :D last min deal hopefully.

I need to sort out a passport for youngest - £49!!!!! Shocking.

Why O why do I do it to myself!

Saw on the DFW boards that a certain credit card's offering 0% for 17 months and are easier to obtain than others. Sigh....I applied....sigh!

It didn't reject me outright but said futher checks will be done which is pointless as it'll turn me down. So I called them and told them to cancel the application.

I wish I stuck to my guns and didn't apply for 0% as I know they will say no. It's only to help bring my DFD closer. Never again (again).

  • Aww dont beat yourself up. Your motivation was good, it was just to cut the interest. I have a very very poor credit rating and I keep trying as I figure things are on my credit report for 6 years anyway. So I put toe in the water every 6 months on a zero percenter.

Focus on your sun holiday. just the job for a damp autumn!
