Just a thought are you rejected due to poor credit rating or that your debt outweighs your income?

Don't feel bad - you applied for a good reason. Isn't it bizarre how being turned down almost makes you feel like you've failed even though you've done nothing wrong. Maybe I'm weird - but it's how it makes me feel!

Think Skint's plan is good - try every 6 months or so and one day I'm sure you will get one! :D

    Afternoon all.

Well where do I start - good news or bad (read terrible).

Get the bad out the way and we can concentrate on the good. Mum's been poorly - she's been taken into hospital over the w/e but is thankfully back out now. I don't want to say too much on here really, will just say it's her heart and although she seems loads better we're all sick with worry. Then on the same day my daughter took ill however it's turned out to be an allergic reaction to something and it looked so much worse than it was. So the w/e was a rollercoaster.

Anyway today I was telling my boss I failed the exam and the deed is now done. She was fine by it but asked what I would do if the company wouldn't pay for a resit and I knew fine well she was testing if I would pay out of personal money to see how commited I am to the job. Well I wouldn't be paying but I didn't say that - said we'd cross that bridge if we came to it. She told me to start revising again so I will - will do it in works time anyway so no skin off my nose if it doesn't come off - I have bigger worries now.

On a good note now - I have sent off (last week) my acceptance of the PPI claim offer so hoping to get that in the post soon and although I said I wouldn't do this I did - I applied for another card and got accepted!!! The reason being is that I took the 30 day free trial from experian again and they have a section that matches you up to providers who are likely to accept you. Good news is I have a 4k or thereabouts limit on new card which is a drop in the ocean but it's 4k I won't be charged interest on!

So great news to end the day. I have looked at what's best to transfer and obviously the highest APR (Cap1) so I will see that one go and then pay the min on them whilst attacking the 2nd highest APR which is also the highest balance. My goal now is to pay that balance off next year.

Great news!!! They have offered to pay for me to resit!!! She said she didn't expect me to pay (hmm!) but she was new to this so had to check.

I feel so relieved - didn't realise how much it was on mind. I am tired now but happy :D

Do hope your mum and daughter are getting better.
Good news about the cc and resitting your exam. Do you know when you'll be doing it?

December it is so plenty of time to crack on with the revision - the good news is that it shows where you "failed" and there are 2 of the 5 areas I need to swat up on.

    Feeling more positive today.

  • Get well soon to mum and daughter.

Good news on the cc and the resit, and also good that you are able to brush on specific areas.

4 grand of interest is a great saving!
