    Good Morning all

    It's Friday :j
Today I am shattered but I don't feel down with it.

Been SO busy at work I haven't had much chance to update and I really must update my OS thread too. I am still within my £100 food budget for the month need to check exactly what i have left and what I still need.

Good news also that Mam's still ok - no more episodes and she is expecting results today from yesterdays tests. Fingers crossed for something easy to treat and control.

Also a bit of good news - my new boss, who said I can resit the exam I failed, has said I can still have the team lead/management position. It's more than I expected as it's running the team but being line manager to someone too. However money hasn't been mentioned!!!

There's lots of red tape and politics so it won't be a quick thing. Bad news is as a result of that I need to be available after hours (can take time off for it) and it's going to interefer with my home life.

Fingers and everything else crossed for your mum.
Tell them you'll take the job for an extra, say, £15k a year. You know you're worth it :D

  • Glad to hear things have settled a bit with mum. Hope you can manage to strike a balance with the work situation, 'work to live' or 'live to work' is always a tricky one.

Tell me about it. I certainly will not let work take over (miss the kids too much) but I will do a bit if it means a healthier wage packet that benefits us all in the long run.

I've been thinking - these next 3 years or so are very important part of my life. Being in debt's made me realise I don't have a right to have things, I have to earn them and respect money. I have a new apprecitation for things you can't buy and now am giving alot of thought to the future.

When I am debt free - what will we do. Apart from a trip to disney land! LOL.

  • Like me you have realised your mindset is changed, and it makes you feel so much more in control.

Disneyland isnt that far away is it?

Wahooo - my captial 1 balance is ZERO!!!! They have completed the transfer to the BT card so no interest for 18 months and BONUS is that I allowed for interest this month and C1 haven't charged me interest as it's too early in the month cycle!! Therefore I have this month's interest being refunded to me and in my pocket soon!!!! £90 ish.

    Great stuff!

You are totally right Skint.....mindset has changed. I don't mean I would trust myself 100% in the future with credit cards if in a shop and saw something I (thought at the time) loved....but I won't allow myself in that situation anyway. ie cash only for me from now on.

I am learning what I am all about and what is important to me. In fact, as I have said before, I think I will be a bit overwhelmed at first when DF as I won't know what to do with myself as currently all day every day is spent thinking about reducing debt.
