I have one card with Lloyds, but the account is already closed - so not sure if they could change my payment arrangements or not?
Don't mean to worry you, but my MBNA card has been closed for over a year. I didn't have a choice if my payments changed, they just wrote to me and said they were doing it.LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Ahhhhhh
Still, at least it would force me to pay over the minimum and thus clear it quicker. Luckily I could afford to do double if I had to, so will look on the sunny side of things if and when it happens!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Good plan Woo! I have given it more thought and am pleased (as long as no more hikes) that I am being forced to pay more. You always seem to find it from soemwhere - hvae been in some sticky situations before and making sure i come out the other side. Roll on DF days!
Well this weekend was over in a blink of an eye. The good thing is I managed to get batch cooking done and have menu planned up until pay day plus arranged for delivery on Tuesday that will see me through til then and was £45 so not too bad.
Going to check accounts now. I wonder if someone's paid my debts off for me....imagine that.

I'm sure they want more people to default! Some people really can't afford that - glad I don't have CC debt now and my loan, although harder to overpay on, is a signed contract including number of months to pay it off!

It's shocking of then isn't it - this time last year, maybe 18 months ago, there is no way I could have afforded that. It's only as I got my reserve sorted and managed to clear OD so that those payments can now go to debt. If that hadn't have happened I'd be up you know where.

OMG I had closed my Next account and was just paying the balance off and I log in today and they have given me nearly 2 k credit limit! That's shocking - they did this before and because I didn't follow it up I ended up spending on it again hence the new balance I am paying off! So annoyed.
Can't call them yet either - WHY don't people let you close accounts when you ask or things like this.Debt - CCV £3792

They did the same to me last month DF, I reduced my limit to £100 didn't touch it for a year - ordered a new dress for a wedding last month and all of a sudden my limit was put back up to £2k!
I also sent the dress back in case you were wondering!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
