Right - lol - I knew would do this.

I have decided to use my bonus to pay my overdraft off so that it's gone! That's if there's enough lol.

I have worked out my new DFD and had a good going through my forecast and have reduced DFD by 1 month! Jan 2014 now!! What a great New Year that will be. If I am very lucky I may save enough during 2013 to pay it off in Dec using Xmas and birthday money also. How exciting. So now only 35 paydays until DFD which is 1047 days. Coming down all the time.

I will be overdraft free at the end of the month, store card free in July and first CC free in feb 2012.

    Bring it on

  • Hi everyone

Huge congrats on paying OD off. I had the dilemma of whether to pay my OD off however the charge for it is minimal comp to if I used that amount of OD to pay to cards. It's a constant nag as I would feel so much better if it was gone. You have me thinking now!

    /QUOTE]

    Hi DF

The reason for clearing the OD was psychological - I now have a pathological fear of going in the red or seeing a minus on my statement!!!!! this stops me thinking of the OD as my money which I always had in the past.

    Good luck and keep going!

Ditto to that again PBH - I think of my OD as part of my balance and I refuse to any more. Hopefully by next month I won't have one any more as long as this bonus comes up trumps. Fingers crossed!

Well done DF, make sure your close the accounts as you clear them as well! You can actually close the accounts before clearing them as well, which removes all temptation and means they can't jack the rate!

Well done you are doing so well! I would pay your overdraft off first - that way a) one debt is gone and b) you're not using debt to pay off debt xx
