Morning All
Another lovely day and another Monday!! Where o where are the weeks going? Good in sense it means DF soon but not good to have life rush by!!!
Well this weekend's been lovely - been looking for a top for my 4 yr old and they sol out every time I went in (fleece for hols but with character on from TV cartoon) and my mam went and they had it in so she bought it and won't take the money so saved £12. Also was supposed to pay £10 towards meal on Fri but DH said doesn't matter so another £10 saved. I took £40 of clothes back to shop from holiday money so the above would've come out of that - bonus)
About to have a look at accounts and make sure all is ok.
Have a great day all

Have been juggling spreadsheet all morning (thinking long term) and cannot reduce my DFD any more - it's so frustrating!
I want to factor in getting an extra xxx amount every year from "good luck" lol but I refuse to be unrealistic... it's the pay day lull that's doing it. Over the high of last month's pay and now waiting for next months.
11 more sleeps! Then 35 pay days til financial freedom after this one!

I know the feeling. It's rubbish that we wish our lives away to get the debt gone. I seriously wish I could go back and warn my younger self about debt so I wouldn't be in this situation now. Ce'st la vie, just hope my DS doesn't ever end up like this.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. Waiting for statements to come in but have been PADing to my MBNA. I am frightened by the amount of interest I am paying. Before MSE I just looked at minimum repayment and blindly ignored the interest. I have also changed my direct debit to Barclaycard to a fixed amount - it's not possible to do this on some cards. Good news is I have cleared my overdraft and by logging in everyday morning and evening I intend to keep it that way ... a small step forward!!
We must all press on!!!Snowball DF Nov 2017Jan 2011 MBNA £2634.66 Feb £2608.37 Mar £2561.860 -
Hi everyone
I can relate to everything above!
I hope and pray my 2 children will grow up with an understanding of moeny and how to budget and save for the things you want. The oldest is 4 and has hoiday money etc and she says mammy goes to work to earn pennies to do this that and the other with. Don't get me wrong, she has a very happy childhood but I hope I am giving her the base for a happy adult hood too! My youngest is 9 months so not started just yet lol.
When they grow up I will make sure they know we live in a no credit house! ie if you want it you save for it bar your mortgage. That's my motto now and I am sticking to it!
have your statements come in PBH? I did exactly the same re min payment - I didn't even know totals other than a round about the Xk mark which is shocking looking back. Now I make sure I know everything about each one.
Huge congrats on paying OD off. I had the dilemma of whether to pay my OD off however the charge for it is minimal comp to if I used that amount of OD to pay to cards. It's a constant nag as I would feel so much better if it was gone. You have me thinking now!
How's everyone today?
