    Howdi,

YAAAAY to Tesco and Next being closed, thats great news. It wont take long to pay them off now.

Xmas pressies???? argh!! I think my mum has bought all hers already, scary stuff! Thats a good idea to keep a list when you think of things as I always find that I never know what to buy people when I need to get something.

Hows your lists coming along? Are you excited about your hols?
I got paid last Thursday, woop woop, and have paid all my payments so I must update things. Have done my spreadsheets as am obsessed with them but havent tackled my signature yet.

Hope tomorrow morning starts off as good as this morning - and I hope you have a nice tea cake waiting for you

    Morning hun

    Lovely to hear from you.

I have a clothes list started for me and the kids, DH can sort himself out as he's a fuss pot. I got my daughter to try all her summer gear on last night from last year so we have outfits that fit and ones for charity. She doesn't need much to take away so bonus!! I will treat her to something though so she can say it's her holiday PJ's or slippers or something daft like that.

My son has nothing as he's 9 months old so wasn't here in the summer of 2010 lol. I will need to get him a few things but won't cost too much.

For myself - god knows! I am so out of touch with what's stylish fora 30 year old mum who doesn't want to look mummsy! I have been going online for ideas so next pay day I will order a couple of tops and prob couple of leggings with accessories. We shall see.

Have a holiday food list started and need to bake things for the freezer ready to take away. I will be spending minimal on food whilst we're away so this needs to ensure it's got everything covered.

Also need list of all baby things to take which is going to be the hard bit as typically baby things are chunky - seems the inventors haven't heard of slim line!

On your DFD have you allowed time in case anything goes wrong? ie extra month in case can't meet a payment for whatever reason?

  • Hi

I always have good intentions when on holiday but OH always says shall we eat out but then he pays so that's OK.

I was thinking about my payments and so much goes in interest it's scary. I wonder if I pay 2 cards off and lower the limit on the others as I pay them off whether I may be able to get a 0%.

MBNA are always offering balance transfer deals so when I've paid it off should I consider tdoing a balance transfer from a more expensive card.

So much to think about all the time - my poor old brain.

    Have a great day.

That's what sickens me - the interest I pay out.

I am closing down my accounts as soon as I can as creditors see them as credit available to you which you could use and not afford to pay them back if you do so.

I am paying Next off in June so that will close off then but still won't be allowed a new card I doubt as will have too much owing still on others. The sooner I can get 0% the better as it'll cut so much off my end date.

Indicentally I have forecasted til 2014 and that is my realsitic completely DFD - the 2012 one was CC's only. I refuse to kid myself that once the CC gone then they remaining debt is ok as it's not.

So that means 37 pay days til debt free.

PS I'm attacking card with highest APR first rather than lowest limit.

    Thanks Woo!

    It's now 36 garfield. I've juggled lol.

It's 16 sleeps til pay day and 1084 til DF! LOL.

I did have a ovely weekend thank you - flew past but achieved loads.

Seriously loving the new budgetting scheme - do you know I have more money to spend on myself and kids now that I ever did before. Before it should have gone on other things like bills so it was never mine to spend, then i'd put the bills on credit cards - bad or what! Now I have cash only to spend and a budget amount for the occasion - ie holiday clothes for us all. It's fantastic. Feels liberating.

I know what you mean - I feel like I have more money for nice things. I have been very lax at the moment with paying debt though - only done the minimum so I need to kick myself up the backside!
