Morning all
Not a good start to the weekend - food budget is way over as I felt rebelious on Friday night - annoyed with myself but maybe it's a sign of being too restrictive. I need to look into it.
Good news is holiday's all paid for and I treat myself to the top I wanted for the hols. Was £26. Also we have lots of lovely looking and tasting food in the house and the cupboards are full. Bad news is I have no petrol money for the month and family will come to expect the cupboards brimming as they are lol! Need to juggle accounts accordingly.
Off to get work done.

Hi DF
I think we all break our constraints now and again. I spent far too much last Wednesday night in London with my colleague - too much wine!! My subsistence will never cover it.
I had a home delivery for the month today so my cupboards are also brimming. The hard part is making it last. I bought myself a top today that I had seen before Christmas at £35 it was £8 today.
I will buy my £50 petrol on my way to work tomorrow and I have resolved to only use my car for work. I shall walk or catch the bus at other times.
I think when there is quite a lot of debt to pay off and it is going to take a few years to clear it is hard to be very frugal at all times.
Don't beat yourself up.

I'm sure you will find the petrol money some how. You seem to be very resourceful.

Good Morning Goooooood Mooooooorning
I am baaaccckk! All is good in my world today. Not sure why as I had a dreadful night sleep. LO was up hourly for reasons beyond my knowledge!!!
I am busy at work today which is good as I like to be busy. I have also sorted out the petrol money (well, in theory - practical may be different!) so hopefully all's well.
I am loving looking in my fridge and it being lovely and full! Also going to allow us more treats in future, even £15 a month will be alot in returns if I shop for them properly - food treats I mean. I bake most of them but not had chance lately.
Today, the sun is shining and I have a teacake for my breakfast which I LOVE so it's a fantastic start to my day:j
I will check to see if my payments have processed later on today. Also I have lists to write - in my element LOL! Holiday clothes and food list, pre holiday shopping list and estimate for budget.
I have a few ideas for Xmas presents which I know is CRAZY but if I write them down now then I won't have to rack my brains later on in the year. Not buying any now - have no money to anyway!!:rotfl:
It's not even 10am so lots can be achieved this morning. Bring it on!!!
OH and I got my letter from Tesco to confirm account's closed, yey (even though balance is still 2k+) and my Next account has been updated online to show it's closed with same principle. Virgin and EVIL CAP1 won't allow me too despite multiple efforts. They are stupid.

Goooood Morning there PBH
I was thinking about it and although I rebelled (naughty girl) I did it on food for my family so all in all it is a million miles away from my old ways so I am actually pleased with myself. LOL See how I worked it to my advantage :rotfl:
Pre LBM I would have bought clothes from Tesco and lots of things for the house, more things I didn't need and probably not enough food! In fact - I needed to do it to show myself I have changed hehehe.
How fanatastic that the top was reduced to £8!!!! BONUS!
I have done the same re the car, I use it only for work or if other half needs to shift some things to the tip which are all done now so shouldn't be any more use.
I totally agree with you - when the road ahead is such a long one we need to give ourself some extra smiles along the way
Congrats on the 2 stars!!!

Hey there o2bfree!
Great name!!!
Thank YouI like to think I am as resourceful as the day requires which sometimes is a serious drain but I try to come out smiling
I have juggled payments for the month and managed to give myself petrol to hopefully cover me but we shall take it one week at a time....i may win the lottery in the mean time :rotfl:
You are so right re not going back to old ways and I think this has proved to me that I won't. I will never allow myself the temptation though of having cards etc though as why take the risk

Howdi,
YAAAAY to Tesco and Next being closed, thats great news. It wont take long to pay them off now.
Xmas pressies???? argh!! I think my mum has bought all hers already, scary stuff! Thats a good idea to keep a list when you think of things as I always find that I never know what to buy people when I need to get something.
Hows your lists coming along? Are you excited about your hols?
I got paid last Thursday, woop woop, and have paid all my payments so I must update things. Have done my spreadsheets as am obsessed with them but havent tackled my signature yet.
Hope tomorrow morning starts off as good as this morning - and I hope you have a nice tea cake waiting for you
