Asda launches revamped price guarantee News Discussion

I've done a "test purchase" on my way home from work today, buying only things that I knew were more expensive than, or the same price as, Tesco - things that appeared on my receipt over the weekend, so I know that can be compared.
When I've checked it tomorrow, I'll post back.
BTW - I don't intend to start ripping off Asda! It was more an experiment than anything.0 -

A relative went into morrissons today to "stock up" but the cashier told her its a max of three per customer. If you want to get more than 3, just use the self service. I had no problems with the till thereTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
def way, way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off, but as I can stop belly laughing, I had to reply.
This might help a little:
MeatMain article: Goat meat
The taste of goat kid meat is similar to that of spring lamb meat;[21] in fact, in the English-speaking islands of the Caribbean, and in some parts of Asia, particularly Pakistan and India, the word “mutton” is used to describe both goat and lamb meat. However, some compare the taste of goat meat to veal or venison, depending on the age and condition of the goat. Its flavor is said to be primarily linked to the presence of 4-methyloctanoic and 4-methylnonanoic acid.[22] It can be prepared in a variety of ways including stewed, baked, grilled, barbecued, minced, canned, fried, curried, or made into sausage. Due to its low fat content, the meat can toughen at high temperatures without additional moisture. One of the most popular goats grown for meat is the South African Boer, introduced into the United States in the early 1990s. The New Zealand Kiko is also considered a meat breed, as is the myotonic or "fainting goat", a breed originating in Tennessee.
In regards to buying in the uk, yes very much so, I am in london and it is widely available, infact ALL carribean take aways would sell the tradional curry goat and rice (Jamician cusine) but i guess it depends where in the uk you are.
Not sure if asda sells it, but i could be wrongI am now intrigued of the question?

cheers for the fast reply! somebody said to me that you couldnt buy goat meat or horse meat in the uk that's why i asked.
Carribean takeaways dont exist in this part ofthe uk, there isnt the carribean community to support it I suppose, and I'm 100% sure that asda dont sell it, even without asking!!!
Anyway if I'm ever out somewhere miles from here and spot a carribean takeaway then I'm definitely going to try it out.
For now though, it looks like i'll have to make do with osterich steaks and alligator ;-)
Thanks again. Puds0 -
