Yay! Well done, bet that's a big relief.
Everything really, just generally worrying that we won't be able to pull it off, it will be a disaster etc!

Have you tried making a list of everything else that needs to be done? We're going to attempt that this week but it's making me very nervous, lol!

Surely there's no reason it'd be a disaster, what makes you say that?

Hi all
How is everything going?

We have made slight progress, have had a look at the venue and spoke to registrar.

We have to phone up on 30th June this year to provisionally book the reg office, then we get invited 8 weeks later to serve notice and pay the fees for the room, all together it comes to £110.50 bargain! lol

We have deffo decided to stick with the black, white and bling theme and are still going to try and do most of it ourelves, including the cake which I am most excited about.

Also after me stressing about how the day pans out, OH just somehow managed to come up with a run down of how the day will pan out, I have no idea how he does it, I'm sure he's a closet woman! He's the same when we decorate, he is amazing at interior design :rotfl:

So basically,we are going to get wed in the reg office about 1pm(ish) with just family, then back to ours, or one of our parents houses for a few drinks, nibbles and speeches/thank yous. OH wants to give special people presents, then everyone but me and OH will make their way to the hotel, where eveyone such as friend's etc will meet us, then OH and I will turn up together.

How does that sound? I'm not sure on exact timings lol and also, what times would be best to have the buffet, OH thinks invite people to get there for 5pm then have the buffet after 7pm, but is that not leaving it a bit too long? He did say that we have to go round saying hi and thanks to people for coming etc, give everyone a drink. Also things like first dance, where do they come in?

No reason at all rahven, I'm just panicking! Have no idea why! I have a really good wedding planning spreadsheet if you would like to have a look at that?

oh and Diamonds, it sounds lovely. don't know if it helps but our meal finishes at 5:30ish, evening starts at 7, cake cut 7:30?? first dance about 8ish. Buffet - 9?!

Diamonds, congrats! Any ideas on what sort of cake you're gonna be doing? Your OH sounds scarily clued up. I can only just count on mine to turn up
Most weddings I've been to the buffet is 7-8, which surprised me when I realised but tbh we were having too much fun to even think about it!

Oh that's ok, I thought having it after 7 was too late! we can put a spread on at home (or whoevers home it is!) in the afternoon for the guests who come to the reg office.

Yes he is clued up! he sends me random emails all the time of stuff he's found online! haha I love it, but he said whatever I want I can have, I don't know if it's some reverse psycology thing, because everything he sends me,I like! haha

Erm, we were thinking a 3 tier square, incorporating, black white and bling, they do edible glitter! :j:rotfl:
