Pern - I'm absolutely fed up of our dress shop. I had to contact them re the fitting - I also wanted to go and look at the dresses but they weren't keen and never got back to me despite me leaving 3/4 messages. So now I've got to wait until 6 weeks before the wedding to see the dresses!!!!!!
Oh dear! Maybe you should just turn up one day & ask to see them, not as if they need to give you hours of attention or a full appointment is it.:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57 :eek:

:eek: I'd hate to not have my dress. It's safely at my mum's house, so I can look at it regularly! Should really try it on but too scared at the moment. Six weeks isn't much time if something needs to be alteredNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

I know
don't really know what to do though they reckon it's fine. It will need altering (I'm height deficient
)

Mine is a 5"8 drop which is perfect as I'm 5"7 and only wearing low heels. One of my BM dresses needs altering but I won't know by how much until the end of March, as she's vertically challenged! No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Sorry to hear about the dress Bec, I hope you manage to get it sorted out.
Re. the hen do Pern, did you get anywhere with it? Do people know how cheap you've managed to get it down to? It's a hard one isn't it? I was going to go to Alton Towers for mine but then decided not to have one to cut costs - most people are having to drive a long way and stay over for ours and I kinda felt bad asking them to spend more :S One of my BMs has decided she'd like to host one for me at her house though, bless her.
Update from us:
All honeymoon hotels (8 - Vegas then roadtrip) booked now, hooray!
Bridesmaid dresses chosen and ordered
Invites ready and we'll send them out next week
Website finished
Next things are to decide on the order of the day and what sort of ceremony we want0 -

Pretty good imo but then I'm ok with my dress being there, although having said that I do want to come get a picture of the detailing so I can decide if I want that on my cake or not...will let you know how that goes as that really is only a 5 min job!Sorry to hear about the dress Bec, I hope you manage to get it sorted out.

It sounds like it's going to go ahead still (yay!), just the guest list is a bit unexpected - I've had a lot of workmates & friends that I don't see regularly say yes to it & not many of my other mates, whom I see far more often!
In one way I'm shocked as I figured it would be the other way round, but then when I think about it it's not so shocking as the friends I don't see so often are all "doers" in the sense that they go away out of town, & are generally always up for something fun that's not just the usual pub night out, whereas the friends I see more often only ever do "different" things with their partners. When I tried to arrange a trip to a theme park for example they sounded interested when I first mentioned it but when I actually arranged it they quickly declined...but they're aways happy to go to the same pubs every week. I guess they have different ideas of fun to me as I can't be bothered going out every week now!
Aww that's so lovely of her, I bet she'll plan something really special
Great work with the plans so far, wish I was as organised!:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57 :eek:
