I have a pants midwife aswell, my midwife hasn't once tried to find the heartbeat ( im 29 weeks) and when i asked her - she said you wont hear it yet, next time........i told her i'd been hearing it since 12 weeks and she still didn't listen. Then i asked her for advice about the flu jab and her answer was - go to the chemist and get a leaflet, no word of a lie. If she wasnt the only mw at my docs i would be changing. I am sure your little baby is doing just grand in there. I had my 29 week growth scan today0

OMG i can't believe your midwifes, have to say mine was fantastic with my 2, had the same one, so not all of them are rubbish, i think you both should complain.0

Im lucky that it wasnt my real midwife and was only covering. My real one is lovely and i had her for dd3 and ds aswell.
Have had a good morningdd had football and i managed to catch up on loads of surveys - have requested £5 for Amazon
Then we all had pancakes for lunch which is lovely as the whole family does it together and all helps out
DH and the big girls are in the garden now - not sure how long they will last its freezing!!! Im about to go to tesco in a bit.....need 2 presents for parties, baby milk and petrol. Will also get any shopping needed for meals this week to save me having to go back - hopefully wont spend tooo much.....

OK so I think I am incapable of going to MrTs and not taking ages and spending toooo much money!!! Grrrr Yesterday I spent £57:eek::eek: and I did get lots for my money - but thats not the point!!!! So I will be going over my budget that I set for the mth now as I dont think ill last till end of the mth with £5!!! But on a good note the amount I am aiming for on a mthly bases is £50 more then this mth (and this mth included the end of dec so was longer) and so I 'should' be OK to stay within that amount for most mths??????
Also had to put £20 in the car - it goes down soooo quick!! Our car just drinks Diesel!!!
I did get a free pack of tinnie tiny nappies with the shopping as had a voucher - DH was releived as he really doent want to use the cloth nappies when the cord is still on. Which also is prob a good idea to not have to do all the washing right away aswell. So i am thinking I might get a few packs to last the first week or so and also get some for dd and ds to keep them going for the first week or two while things settle down?? Also got a massive bottle of persil small and mitey for £2as its reduced at the mo and I had a £1 of voucher aswell. So wont use it on kiddies as its bio but will use it for mine and dhs bits which will save for a while.
Got to go and do bottles and lunches as ive not been organised tonight and want to get it sorted before Dancing on ice is back onGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. i think using disposable nappies will be a great idea for when your new little one comes along, saves on washing electric and water so very mse me thinks!!!
plus you will have your hands full already so you dont want to be worrying about having to put the washing on.
have a good day.

Yeah I think ill just use them for the first week or so - use the vouchers you always get when first have baby on acouple of packs and pick up when on offer etc over the next few mths and then will go back on the washables when things settle and the sposies run out. Can never afford the cost of having all 3 in disposibles long term though!! Cost a fortune!!!!
Car is being rubbish AGAIN and looks like it has a problem with the immobiliser? As the light sometimes isnt coming on and then the blooming thing wont start till you keep turning it of and back on a few times!! Im sure this car is falling to bits!!! Really keep looking into changing it to one will all fit in and isnt tooo expensive?? Think we will be £100 better off a mth with new finance and will also save on tax and diesel for the ones im looking at. But really only want to do it if we will be in better mthly position rather then worse!! I also want to be able to all fit in the car........Will keep looking into it and see where we stand....
Today is a NSDAll helps

Arrrr so stressed and torn!! Are car is oficially carp!! It wouldnt start yesterday after we had been driving it for ages and lucky DH was with us but in his van (met him on way home from work) so he could jump it for me - dont know what I would have done if he wasnt there!! And now today it wont work again! Garage says there is nothing wrong with the battery (its quiet new) and did say it could be the starter motor so we got a new one but it still doesnt work and now they cant see anything wrong with it
I hate having a unreliable car. Also hate having the finance to pay each mth oon it and cant even drive it most of the time - and when baby comes we wont all be able to go in it anyway!! But on the otherhand I dont want more debt and dont want to add to the overall amount we owe!! We can get a good reliable car - which costs a fortune but will be about £30-40 a mth less on payments (but is starting a whole loan out again
) and will also save on petrol - engine now is a 2.9 and new one is a 2liter so will use less deisle. Also Tax is half the price a yr we pay and insurance is £10 a mth less.......So we would be better off each mth and have a reliable car we can all fit in.......but the finance will last 3 yrs longer (unless we can make final payment earlier...)
ARRRRRRRR Dont know what to do....will work out all the prices later i think and see how much better off will be each mth and see what happens if i put that money to cc. Then save it to maybe make a early settlement.......GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. Mummy I think it makes sense for you to seriously consider getting the bigger reliable car, that way you can all go out together which will save you from the stress of worrying about family outings etc and you won't be panicking about whether the car will actually start or not...lets face it, you don't want to be out in an unreliable car with 5 kids and get stuck in the middle of nowhere.
Yes you'd be taking out a new finance agreement that would last another 3 years or so, but you've already pointed out the benefits of lower monthly payments, less tax, insurance and fuel costs...
I think you already know the answer to your problemVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Penny I think I know we should but just dont want to actually do it and add to the debt..... I am trying to think though that I will be able to through the money I save towards the ccs and get them paid off asap and then ill be able to save and pay the settlement figures for the car and the other loan we have so wouldnt mean we would be lots longer with the debt - if im making any sense..... Its just a pain all the car big enough for all us cost loads!!
I am glad that we are putting lots of thought into it and looking at the best options - when we got the car we have now we just popped to the car shop one day and ended up straight away buying the one we thought looked nice!!!! Not very MSE. But this time we have done LOADS of reaserch and looked into reviews etc and search for the best ones we can get for our money locally etc etc......so we have learnt somethingGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. Yesterday was a NSd - All helps
Today might be aswell but need baby milk soon so depends when i go and get that......
Have booked the swimming for dds and they are VERY excitedMum also told me last night that they want to always pay for there lessons. Which is lovely and will save us some pennies
Have done the snowball and changing the finance etc and it doesnt change my DFD very much as Will have more to throw at the ccs and then can save for the settlement on loans etcSo it is as i thought and not going to make the date tooo much longer (think it was 9mths but will check as saved them - which I can deal with it taking that much longer and having a big enough and reliable car) Now just need to go and haggle and get the best deal possible on a big car...
Tonight im doing a curry for me and DH and will do extra so we can have some next week - still have some indian nibbles in freezer so will do some of them aswell. DD got a friend round for dinner so will either do them something easy like fishfingers or tuna pasta.
Best go and hang nappies up and get the next load on.GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0
