I doesnt look tooo bad
The man has said that only the top bit that joins the wall and rrof needs a bit of touching up
He also said he would be able to chissel out the few bricks that have blown out and put some new ones in. Then he said he can use some clear paint stuff (My techinical terms
) to cover the whole outside wall on that side of the house to help keep out the damp etc. So fingers crossed it shouldnt cost toooooo much and that just the little things will work and not have to have the whole side of the house re pointed! I am unsure what it will cost as yet...... fingers crossed it wont cost to much. Also will then have to speak to BIL and see if he will do the plastering at some point! Its worse in DS bedroom so would like that done asap and then at some point the bathroom and hallway as they are not that bad and ds doesnt sleep in them
But will do that once the outside work has been done. Till then ill just keep a eye that most of it is kept at bay
Dont like it to be in his bedroom.
Have had a LSD today - just had to get some baby milk for ds2 and give DD1 her snack money for the week.
Need to do a online shop which I like to do on a monday but ive been a bit poorly tonight so havent felt like looking at food so will have to make do for tomorrow and do a shop for wednesday?
Still havent sorted dds main present. She has a coat and a few other bit but we want to get her a MP3 player but cant decide on which one lol. Will have to order it tomorrow otherwise it might not get here in time.....GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. I am so stressed with the whole debt thing again at the mo!! Really confused on how to live a good life while the kiddies are young but to also get rid of the ccs!! Plus wanting poor DH to not have to live with his work forever and ever!! I know we should get rid of the debt one day but at the moe it still feels like its going to be a looooonnnnnnggggg time away!! I just dont feel like we are getting anywhere again!!
I know part of what might help is to be able to have real figures. As I still am unsure on one of the ccs as I cant keep checking how much we owe (DH needs to send of a letter to prove he is himself!!) and also the loans I cant just keep looking at to see them go down a little each mth. Can you ever do internet banking on things like HP and loans??
I guess my next little target should be to get the CCs under 10k and then it might feel like we are getting a little nearer??
Will sort the letter for DH to be able to go online to check cc asap I think......GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Right so had a little think and going to set little targets rather then a big one that i NEVER meet and just give up on lol. So I want to be under the 10k mark on the ccs by the new year
I know its not much (£447 plus interest payments) But I think its doable so might give the little boost and then once xmas is out of the way I can try and tackle them hard again and also try to work something for DH

Just been reading some of your thread
Sorry you are feeling unwell:( hope you feel better soon
Being a mummy to 5 you are not allowed to be ill
There are 7 in our house and you asked earlier how much should you spend on food Our children are older 10,11,12,15 and 18 so really we are feeding 4 adults and 3 children:eek: I manageit for about £12o which includes snacks no one should have to live without chocolate that is cruel:rotfl:
Hopefully I will read your thread again and you will be fighting fit and hubby's job will be ok
Take care:grouphug:Que Sera, Sera0 -
Hello creditcard123. You do really well to feed your brood on £120 a week!! I bet when mine are older and eating loads we would spend lots more!! But they do eat there fair share esp the 7 and 2 yr old!! lol. I have ordered the food shop again and its going to be around the £100 mark again but Its been 9 days since last shop so think im going to stick to the £100 budget for a shop but just try and make it last a day or two longer??
I agree on the no choclate would be a very cruel worldDo pop by again soon
I have booked a holiday!!! Im sooooo chuffedSo my last posts were on a low as I hate my kiddies having to go without because of our mistakes in the past  But booking the little trip away has cheered me up and showed me I dont have to spend a fortune for the kids to have fun!! Anyway Ive managed to book 3 nights away in April (End of the holidays so kids wont have to miss any school) for £72.50!! Plus service and entertainment charges which are about £30-40 (I did work it out but cant remember exactly now) Mega cheap
Its at a park caravan site which has swimming pool and entertainment etc so should be good fun for the kiddies!! Also we dont have to spend loads when we go as can cook if we want to and bring snaks and drinks etc for the kids.
Have finished dd1s bday presentsManaged to get a good price on a sony MP3 with a docking station! Which I think she will love. mil is going to get her a itunes voucher so she will be able to download some albums. She wants a sleepover for her party which is good as wont cost us too much either.
Now ive finished the bdays I need to make more effert with xmas and starting to get some presents sorted!!GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Hi Mummy,
Have you had the wall done yet? Hope it doesnt cost too much.
Re the debt, have you ever considered going on one of these DMP's? Im not if its for you just wondered if it might cut you some slack a bit?
Yay to booking the holiday, sounds fab. I dont think your little ones go without at all xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi no word on the wall yet. Will have to just hold on a little as its being done as a bit of a favour aswell (Hopefully wont cost us asmuch
)
I looked into a DMP but not sure we want to do that. Will ruin our credit history so will end up with a rubbish interest rate when mortgage renewal time comes....But I do wonder sometimes - even if just to know it WILL come to a end one day......
Went to Mrts today to see if I could pick up any bargainsI did get a couple of presents for xmas. So im glad ive now made a start - only got two but its a start none the less.
Also had to get some petrol today but as it was at a really expensive one and no points I only put £5 in to last till I can do it as mrTs (Today they were out of Diesel!!)
Not much MSE going on!GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Its DDs bday today and she has had a lovely day!! Been so lovely and hot we even had a BBQ for tea
So have spent a little in mrTs but we was going to get a take away pizza so it didnt cost to much more then that would have
She got lots of lovely presents and was happy with them all. She was a little upset when going to bed that her day was overBless her.
Ive got a real little walker now with DS1 he loves it!! Looks so happy with himself when he does it. So cute!!
We have DDs friend over for lunch tomorrow so might have to get some fruit in the morning as have nearly run out! But im trying to not have to get a big shop till next week..........
Over the weekend we are going on a picnic with the inlaws so will be a nice day out for the kids.
The man who is doing the house repairs should be coming tomorrow and my lovely dad is covering costsIts his friend so I think he might be doing a favour back for him. So wont cost us anything which is SUCH a reliefe! And hopefully will help with the damp?? fingers crossed......... Dad also said if there is any other little things we need doing to ask he when he is here so we might ask him to fix the back step as the brinks are broken off and he will have the stuff here anyway
Payday tomorrowYippeee (aslong as DHs work dont much him about AGAIN)
Dad also gave me £20 as he wanted to buy DS2 some cloths but wasnt sure on size etc so will be able to get him a couple of bits in the next size up.GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. Have had a great weekend!! DD had a footy match on sat (they lost
But DD set up a goal for them and got man of the match so she was happy) Then went on a picnic on the sat afternoon which was lovely and mil brought most of the food so was a very cheap day! Then on sunday we went to the seaside!!! Yep we was sat on the beach in our summer clothes on the 2nd of October!! Madness lol. The kids loved it and apart from petrol, icecreams, fish and chips and a few go's on the arcades it didnt cost us too much either!!
Been paydayLove seeing things be paid off now - how sad
Had the person come and sort the wall outside so hoepfully that will help a bit with the damp over the winter. He also fixed our back step as it was broken and needed rebuilding and some new bricks.
Have ordered myself some new clothes and a pair of shoes! Naughty but so in need of some new bits. I ordered of some website i read about on here and everything is £5 so i managed to get 2 tops, 1 pair of jeggins, 1 pair of jeans, a cardigan and a pair of shoes for £30 plus the delivery!!! So a bargain - now just hope they fit and look nice....will see.
Still no heating on yetWhich is great and saves a little. They have also put our DD back down £10 a mth as have said I have finished paying the overpayments we had to pay. So fingers crossed we keep it under budget for the winter now. We are about £100 in credit at the mo so hopefully we will.........
