  • Nah...you don't need to fix what isnt broken.

Oh, I don't know about that...advertising a saving of £19 when the saving is, in fact, £17 surely needs a little fixing, eh? Not only is it misleading, it's false advertising. It also shows that some super monkey marketing boy in Tesco Ivory Towers cannot add up.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Yes, pretty normal. Standard I would say. The Store Manager carries more weight than I think many on here give credit for - that is why I normally advise going through them before Dundee (Thats Store, not Duty Manager). If your letter raised as many questions as you suggest, it strikes me that a written reply is going to raise more questions in reply - a two way conversation is more condusive to moving things along.

If you are uncomfortable being taken off the shop floor, ask to meet in the cafe (try not to pick a busy time if you do that ;) ). Not sure what the reaction to a witness would be - likewise with a soliciter (although I would imagine that would be a no tbh). As for recording...I would say no personally, but again I do not know what the answer may be.

I dont see how they can react badly to a witness being there, I can well imagine my meeting wouldnt be with the Manager alone, the security guard or the CS manager would probably be there too, I dont wanna feel outnumbered!

And it wouldnt be solicitor I took with me, I'm in the R&R business to save money!!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
  • When the store manager had my mate in the office (ooo errr) the store manager had a security guard in there with him. He said he was made to feel like a criminal and it was very intimidating.
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

Quite agree. But then I am not advertising an incorrect saving.

  • Chris, Maybe as suggested hold it in the cafe and we could all have tea there as support, then we could all get an R&R to make the trip worthwhile!

Oh and don't forget to ask permission before you enter his store! lol
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p

So you have either removed the bundle from sale or the game.

Ahh...you didn't put it up in the first place...as usual ;) Nice move, Constantine!

But the question is, did you spot it before it was posted on here?

Or did you just not have those displays in your store?

Obviously can't predict the future, but when I have seen these kind of meetings before the SM has always been alone.
