ALWAYS ACCOMPANY CS BACK TO AISLE/ITEM/PRICEPOINT.

Good advice, but what do you do if you're on your own - you'd have to leave a trolley of paid-for shopping which someone could walk off with?

Also, if the CS person tells you to stay at CS, how strongly do you insist, bearing in mind it could mark you out as a seasoned R&Rer?

    Hiya

Just wondered today whilst waiting for CS to check price on lamb today. What if CS returns with a different leg of lamb (on this occasion, could be anything though) that was correctly stickered and said, "Here take this one instead". So they basically swap your goods and give no r&r.

Would/could this happen and where do you stand, plus whats your argument for keeping the item you choose, rather than the one they offer you?

    Yes they could.

You could try "I don't want that one, I want this one". Why would you let someone else choose your Sunday dinner for you?

highly unlikely someone will steal your shopping but i guess it happens jus show them where you saw the price and walk behind them they cant tell you what to do they are probably(or not) being polite

Is this one of the trolleys that Tesco have now with wheels on? Would that not mean you can take it with you?

Do you know Judo? A quick submission hold until they see things your way should do the trick.

It could mark you out as someone who is being helpful.

  • I haven't had an r&r in over a week !
tried a mobile the other day and just as the cashier was finalising the sale (without the discount) some daft sod at the next till starts moaning about not getting his discount and my cashier suddenly saw the error of her ways!
took it back for a refund today and she forgot to knock the discount off so £20 quid up but NOT THE SAME BUZZ AS A TRUE R&R.i am desperatly trying to find a nigella lawson book but I am not sure they stock them in my area (south wales)
have not been able to scour the stores as usual as my 18 week old son has been ill.I have to get something on the 8th or I will proberbly go mad.

    Hi,

I have got a question regarding R&R. I have noticed that yellow SEL's have an expiry date. From reading through the forum I understand that if they are not removed at the time you buy them and they go through at a different price, they qualify for R&R. Now my question is what about an offer that ends tomorrow and I'll buy the item at 10 past midnight? I am just wondering whether CS might just say "It clearly states that it's only valid to ...". Can someone please clarify?

    Thanks.

Makes no difference. Its still the price indicated.

Oh...and that wont work anyway. Nice idea, but its been mentioned countless times before. Its not as simple as being there just after midnight. Otherwise every store would have readers of this thread camped outside for each promotion change.

Constantine, whats the score with being asked to have a meeting with the manager in response to my letter?

    Is this a usual practice?
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
