Hi all there seems to be a lot of books with SELS ending in XX.96 but there was a good mix of stickers on the actual books themselves some confirming the SEL price but others ending in XX.97, I thought I was onto something but after scanning a couple they where coming up at the cheaper price, worth keeping your eye on!

Also spotted that a lot of SELS expire tomorrow on the wine and liquor might be worth taking a look later in the day or maybe early Wednesday to try and catch them out!

I have no wish to become best pals with CS staff either and my refunds are also made because I have been overcharged.

However, I was just commenting that - for me - making a fuss for a penny a kilo is not on the agenda. I know an overcharge is an overcharge whether its a penny or a pound but I just don't feel that its worth raising my profile for such a tiny difference especially when the price per pound is correct . (I don't agree with the EU and not using imperial anyway !!!) I wasn't suggesting that anyone else shouldn't do it - just stating that I'm not keen to do it myself. If CS argued with me about it I wouldn't be comfortable standing my ground and I'm keen to keep my almost 100% success rate.

I have sometimes got R & R's on individually priced items which have been in clearly marked boxes at just a penny below the SEL - but thats cos I reckon the staff deserve it for being lax enough to stick a wrong price just inches from the item label.

We all have different approaches - and good luck to all our successes!
That's a fair point. I must admit I generally make sure there's a few pence or pounds difference if I'm rnring, as it saves hassle at CS, and also do not want to become a well known face at CS arguing the toss over a few quids worth of pork chops. I'm already a marked individual at one Tesco's i frequent (I'm not a desperately parenoid person, but a member of staff DID follow me round on a shopping trip recently, until I turned round and asked her (in my big loud "lets make a scene" voice) if she thought I was shop lifting, as she was following me round like a vulture after carrion - whereupon she went all sheepish and disappeared behind the crisps)....then covertly tracked me down the washing powder aisle:eek:

Tell you what, you stay in bed and have a nice lay in, and we'll go and do it for you shall we?

Want us to pop it round afterwards?

Maybe giftwrap the stuff you want to give as xmas presents?
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Don't worry, you didn't miss it last Wednesday; it only became an R&R possibility after the soccer game became Game of the Week last Friday at the £2 reduced price (making another R&R chance).

what Plushchris is saying is r&r isn't about expecting everyone else to do your donkey work, it takes a little bit of research and a little bit of luck.

Have a look through the misprice thread, write down ones that interest you, read the first few pages of this thread and be prepared to come home empty handed, it happens.

Lots of people on here r&r most days, lots of the items mentioned are perculiar to individual stores and most don't last very long as misprices as Tesco staff correct mistakes.

Have a go, but read this thread thoroughly first.

Would everyone that sees one of these units in the tescos they visit please let me know if they see anything like, all the cardboard boxes being removed or any altering to the writing which states the saving on the Xbox pro bundle.

I can then use it in my case about the overcharge if they state that things are correct as it is now and then stores decide to change or cover up the wording.
