Oscar wrote:Can someone confirm that these prices are correct as I noticed season 5 in Tesco today but it was priced nearer £50. £24.97 would be an excellant buy. My son wants this for his birthday.

Difficult one, I sympathise.
Too late for you, but maybe someone else in the same situation could "forget" their wallet or PIN number.. when everything has been scanned, and then the checkout girl would be stuck with £40 of shopping on her till to tidy away..
Alternatively, how about saying you need to spend £50 in one transaction to be eligible for the petrol discount, ie you need to pay for the phone at the same time?0 -
Oscar wrote:Does R&R apply to petrol? I just filled up with 42 litres of fuel and handed over a 5p off a litre and was only given £1.80 off as the cashier had calculated the discount on the £ rather than the litre. I returned and was given 30p. I asked if R&R did not apply to fuel and the lady looked at me as if I had to heads, when I said, as I have been overcharged should I not get a full refund?. No she said you have not been overcharged we just made a mistake! and no its differant with fuel!
Please put me out of my misery, and tell me you didn't actually use the expression R&R
If you did, it is no wonder they thought you had 2 heads.:rolleyes:0 -
chipbeck wrote:Right I'll have a go at the self scan tonight. Couple of questions though:-
where do you put the vouchers and do they watch you like a hawk?
When you press the finish and pay,it brings up the options card, cash etc there is one for vouchers/coupons press this then scan the barcode on the voucher and then post them in the voucher slot. Don't do as I first did and just post them, doh. I've used 3 before and the 3rd alerted SA but she just ok'd it. I used a £5.00 on a £14.80ish spend and this also alerted her I think because it took off more then a 3rd of the bill, she ok'd this aswell. This was yesterday afternoon and it was quite busy so I thiink this helped.0 -
Having brilliant success with Motorola PEBL'S (Tesco Mobile) and Nokia 6111 (also Tesco Mobile) both on white SELS anmd not prompting the checkout operator to take off discount- fantastic phones, you just need to get them
Just had a go at both of these on 2 seperate over £40 transactions and the discount came off on both. They were both on white SEL's also. Most irritating. Not sure why the discount is working now tho.{Signature removed by Forum Team}0 -

Guys
These things have a short window of opportunity, I posted on Saturday night and it was inevitable that Tesco would react quickly. Why wait until today.
Never forget these boards are monitored !
oh and if you have stumped up £40 for the offer, then take the items back- I did0 -
