I have just had them have to call HO to authorise my transaction, when the girl phoned them she was told to manually deduct the £20 and given a code to enter for it.
no r&r so return in a day or so... oh well I tried.

Surely it would be better to not bother posting misprices. We would still spend as much time in the stores, but would get more success as we wouldn't be blowing our trumpets on here and flagging up the price errors to the powers that be.
We all know the policy now, and i think we should continue to discuss the policy on this thread, but avoid telling Mr T his misprices on the other thread, as it is blatantly doing none of us any favours.
What do you all think?

Totally agree, and like I said in a previous post, last time I put something on the misprice thread it was deleted anyway! So dont see the point!
I know it sounds selfish but I dont think I'll be posting any new misprices again, not immediately anyway! In fact, if you think about it, its the complete opposite of selfish as its giving everyone else the chance to find them before Tescos do and rectify it nationally.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Hi,
Over the last few days this is what has happened to me (deliberatly being a bit vague - thep spooked me a bit:eek:):
Bought an electronic item for £120, should have been £100, went to CS who spoke to electical manager, who offered me difference - i said ' i thought it was tesco's policy...blah blah blah' He still downright refused a refund. Paid on Dr card cos i didn't have enough cash.
Off i went home still with my item and receipt - no SEL, sticker on box so no need to take pictures.
Called CS helpline who apologised said i should have full refund and to go back to store, never gave them my name.
Went back to store where duty manager turned up and said that this time i could have refund but i was no longer welcome in their store (or any tesco store for that matter) as i was abusing the policy and had lied to CS!!!!
I was very indignant, said i don't know what you mean abusing the policy - he says you have done this before - i told them at CS that in a different store when i had been overcharged on a dvd a tesco employee had spotted it, taken me to CS and fully explained the policy to me (true!) which i why i knew what the policy was. he said i told CS (over the phone) that i had never done this before...they had checked their records....B*ll*cks!!
Anyway the point is i'm furious i have both managers names that i dealt with - do i make a formal complaint??
I assume the countrywide ban is a load of nonsense - he cannot have any authority for that he was a snot nosed little sh*t who has gone power mad because of the manager in his title.
They have no way of knowing/proving i have had r&r before - never before used card to pay or clubcard - not been doing it that long to be 'known' to staff either.
All advice/comments gratefully received.0 -
They can ban you from their store but i dont think they can do a uk ban. Get back on the phone to CS and play hell.0
-
Yeah dont think they can give you a national ban, that would have to come from HO (which it wont if they have no history of you)
Get on to HO and give them hell, and do it all in writing too.
Lets face it, how the hell can they enforce a national ban?
I wrote a letter to the store manager of the one I was banned from giving them seven days to reply, that seven days expired on friday and surprise surprise no reply! Will be sending another one tomorrow recorded delivery CCing HO and Terry LeahyMissing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
That's what i though - i'm now going to have to waste more of my sunday time on them composing a letter - will call HO tomorrow.
I guess i'm such a rogue that they'll feel compelled to send posters to all Tesco stores 'seen this person - watch them they might expose your pricing inadequacies!!'0 -
Hi there, like most others on here got a couple of stuffed chickens with the SEl being £1.99 Kg and the pack being £2.19 Kg, not very exciting i know...but, when the CS lady went to see the Cold shelf chap (with me in toe), he said yes thats an overcharge, oh they only get done on a Monday so it must have been like that all week.
Don't know if its just that store that do their meat prices on a Monday or all stores...might be worth a look though...:j I'm keen :j:mad: The name has been changed to protect the innocent:mad: Well almost0 -
Monster_Deals wrote:Back to work interviews after being 'sick' are fairly common these days for hourly paid staff. My company does it because so many people are trying to 'swing it'. therefore Tesco are not unique in their approach..............god I nearly defended them.
I am in a pretty senior post of a salaried career in a massive organisation and we have a policy of return to work interviews after any sickness or absence. Nothing sinister in it.0 -
Hi guys, got a couple of the stuffed chickens today,
CS wasn't happy, que was huge (as was her rear), she said the other CS girl hadn't turned up yet, so I says well of course she hasn't turned up yet, she's in my kitchen cooking me some bacon and eggs, and if she could hurry up with my refund before my brekkie gets cold...if looks could kill...
saw the acers and the nav man, all scan correct.
no luck on the triple R today but have a query for tommorow that could end up with a really tasty R&R for everyone.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0
