Thanks orangelily8 ...... guess i'm just rubbish at spotting them then hahaha.
Wasn't sure about the iron and the scanner at the start of the isle didn't look to be working tonight so didn't try it... and didn't need it.
I didn't have a list of latest items but looked at a few i could remember etc....no joy. At least i know they're not 100% on the ball .... one day i'll get lucky .... i hope. :-D0 -
First r&r today.
Brought Tekken psp game on Wednesday, sel 29.97, but charged 32.97. Pointed out error to cs desk, but they said it was because the two barcodes scanned differently.
To cut a long story short, I had to ring head office yesterday and today and finally received my money.
Bit nerve racking, felt like every tesco employee was looking at me.
JohnnypanicThe person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.0 -

Thats is just poor service from the store !, clear cut r&r if you ask me0 -
In my tesco guys theyve got leaflets at the bottom under the phones in them plastic slots along side other tesco leaflets stating 10% off, and theyve got the 20 pound of fone discount thingy. Does that i mean i still could have got R+R on phones as they were all marked up full price e.g. nokia 6070 59.99, there were no big posters up though of the 10% off. Also tekken was marked up at 32.97 and there was no GOTW offer poster.
its as if some N 0 B of a worker runs like a dog and changes everything the same day. Grrrr
If people cant help people on these threads, then they should rather not say anything then say something which isnt any use to the person who needs help0 -

Was in the Pollock store tonight buying some stuff and had a good look for yellow SEL's quick look at the meat section but couldn't spot a thing.... either i'm rubbish at this R&R game or the peeps there are on the ball with pricing.
I think they had a Rowenta Iron 29.97 down to £14 sommit with a yellow sel dated 31/10/06 (i think) ... don't know if it would go through at full price and i don't need an iron so didn't try. Would this have been my first R&R had i taken it ?
Maybe one day i'll find one ... :-(
I was in the Pollock store on Wednesday and had one of these irons in my trolley having spotted the date had passed. Thought it was my first R&R too. Both scanners in the store broken, so could not check price, but can confirm when I got to till, price was still £14.98 even though the date had passed. I made an excuse that I'd changed my mind.
I was overcharged for a ready meal which had a reduced price half over it, but when scanned, the full price was taken instead. Went to CS and the girl refunded the full price (a whopping £2.99). Felt slightly weird about it as she said "You get a full refund on this. WELL DONE !!". It was late in the evening and I have the feeling I may have been rumbled by security as an R&R seeker when I was trying, unsuccessfully, to scan the iron.0 -
joshtbh wrote:The stand-in manager asked me to come back tomorrow as he'd check with local CCTV whether I am a serial R&Rer, and ask the proper store manager tomorrow morning if I could have the refund. I never went back to the store and conducted the refund via HO who complied with the policy. So yes, I got the R&R.
I'm still of the opinion that this kind of usage of CCTV may be illegal under the Data Protection Act. I think I will make some enquiries next week ...0 -

Are you just inventing things to make yourself feel good?
Oh yes, DO elaborate. If YOU knew of a cat food misprice, why didn't YOU post it here for all to see? Doubt if there was one, as the many R&Rers out there didn't spot it, and how many of them have a pet cat?
You exagerate. Who would get away with stashing 40 boxes of Ecover too? What planet are you from?0 -

PLEASE dont think I'm backing him up on this but..
Some people had Felix pouches on R&R a while back when they were on an offer, cant remember the exact details but I think it was something like the senior ones were not included in the offer, but as usual the normal ambiguous signs from tescos just said "Felix pouches 12 packs" or something like that, I'm sure someone will elaborate.
I didnt get any though as all the stores I visited at the time had the senior ones in a different location.
I would get the catfood even if I didnt have a cat (I've got three) and give it to the local RSPCA centre, I would encourage all other MSEers reading this to do the same too! Why not?
I had to re-home one of my cats through the RSPCA last year due to moving and they can do with all the support they can get.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Hi,
I got a Nokia phone yesterday , and the £20 never came off, so I went to Cs and said I wanted a refund.
he agreed and aplogised and the gave me £20!
I had a screaming child with me so walked away wondering wjhether it was an overcharge etc, and not quite having the nerve to pursue it.
I called them later to mention that I'd been overcharged and isn't it their policy to refund the whole item, and they asked to call me back.
Should i chase this up? Should I contact cs and ask for a full refund, or just take the phone back, get a refund, then buy another?
Advice would be great- i normally hold my ground with refunds, but for some reason yesterday i bottled it and came home0 -
My local Tesco Express - has LOADS of mispriced meat -
But they DONT have a blue sign - u know the one - if something doesn't add up .... WHY? - I thought they HAD to have this sign as it explains their policy. I looked REALLY well - there defo isn't one !
Any experience of this anyone please?0
