  • Has anyone else had any luck with the Combi TVs. Someone has just posted to say they have got one on the prices thread. I have seen them in my local on a mixed pallet with the cheaper ones.

In my local (Not sure why ;) ) but on all the TVs on crates it says "For TVs please see the display shelf for prices"

So it is a no go for me anyone any luck? They are definately being mixed up on the pallets.
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

For the life of me- Icannot see an r&r on these?

You need a really big store where they just shove them out on Pallets. They then just get mixed up and hey presto you are sorted.

When I was in the store there were loads on the pallet all mixed up, even the more expensive ones were at the bottom so there would have no way out of it for them. All that was missing was the price advert. Shame as my little one wants one for her Bedroom for Xmas.

  • When there's an expired SEL for an offer, like with the Holsten Pills, is it possible to see if it's still scanning at the offer price on the scanning machines dotted round some stores? or do they need to be taken to a till and scanned?

    Do people just risk it?

I got an R&R last week on some ale (2 bottles with 2 pint glasses - nothing special but still free) and they had an expired yellow SEL and luckily they didn't scan at the offer price.

what i did with the pils was to chance it. for £16.00 i got 48 bottles, but when it went thru at £19.98 i knew i had got it, so told the till staff i was off to get more cash. came back, bought another 6 then as i knew had got the r&r in the bag. my only worry was that the SEL would disappear before i had enough time to get back!!!
  • There is no way of scanning them if they are on offer

eg 2 for £16 as it will only tell you the price per item.

This is fine if it is supposed to be reduced.

The best thing to do is try and check it against the net price to see if it is still on offer online. Or go for it and just take it back to a different store/ forgotten my wallet!!!

If its a 2 for £? offer then you can't price check using the scanners..grrrrrrr

but you can check by using the Tesco.com website to see if the offer has been extended.

Take them to a Self Service Scanner, after you have scanned them and select 'finish and pay' the final price shows. You can then see if the discount has come off or not. Either way just walk away or tell the checkout person on duty that you have forgotten some shopping.

Then go and fill your trolley up or dump the goods you no longer want.
  • How do you get Sainsbury's vouchers ?
I was told today that Tesco have never accepted ASDA vouchers ( apart from the one's I have been using all week ;) ) but they do accept Sainsbury's vouchers.

Do you get them in a free mag ? or only via a clubcard type scheme ?

I think I have only been in a Sainsbury's about 3 times in my life, I was shocked how expensive it was ! Ans amazed at all the nobby people wandering around paying well over the odds for most things.

Then they started using that fat Mockney cook in their advertising......final straw for me.
  • I did look on the tesco site but couldnt find what i wanted but it doesnt matter now anyway. now its me thats waffling.
  • constantine? is the tesco policy world wide? or just uk? thx
