However;
Surely this is just disguised stealing - afterall you advocate removing the asda logo so you obviously realise that you're doing wrong so to speak and that Tesco try not to take these vouchers. By picking on the newbie you risk him getting hauled over the coals and maybe losing his job , all so you can get some free stuff. The ethics of using these coupons has been done to death on another board but by bringing it over here you are alerting a much wider audience and increasing the risk for the badly paid newbie on the checkout!
Coupon use is a priveledge, lots of people out there depend on being able to use one or two regularly and actions like this may result in that priveledge being withdrawn or severly curtailed.
By the way you can reply that the Tesco can afford it, that the fat cats of capitalism have it coming to them but that doesn't help the poor Cs you've got into trouble does it?Survival of the fittest
I don't see anthing illegal here.
It is Tesco's choice whether to take the vouchers or not.
I have not made the vouchers or modified them in any way.
If I happen to cut the large ASDA logo off when I cut them out so be it.
The barcode and text on the voucher is unchanged, it still states they are an ASDA voucher.

I don't understand this bizarre statement !0 -
I have had loads of stuff in both newport stores, loads of meat, beer, dvd's, lamps, books etc. I find Cardiff Road is easier to find stuff in. Also St Mellons is a cracker. The lady in there knows me by my first "name"I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0

"We will on request provide an unlatching code after a qualifying period and / or for a fee."
For my phone to be unlocked for free I had to have purchased £35 worth of credit from the day I had bought the phone.
If its a nokia, theres a forum on here with a really helpful poster by the name of "browntoa" who may help you with any codes you need, you just need to provide him with your imei number, failing that you can take a phone to a market stall and they'll do it for you for a lot less than £35...
I took my 2 tesco mobiles i RNRed recently to a stall yesterday and got them both done for 8 quid each.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
hi
just been to tesco near me getting refund and there was a female getting a refund) (not R&R) for a jumper, after she had left the tesco customer services girls said " quick quick photocopy her address" , bit strange I thought.
Anyway got my refund and she asked for my i.d ( I had paid by cash)politely declined and asked her why needed,
" as you get refunds a lot" she stated.
Anyway after a bit of quiet discussion i went on my way.
Went straight back in cos forgot my receipt, anyway she had got a a4 clip thingy and was sticking my refund to it.
and when she saw me put it on a hook behind the C.S door.
I asked her about keeping my details i.d etc. and she stated (smug faced, wish i had her i.d:mad: ) umph and did i want head office number to complain, smirk, no i've got it i said , well head office know all about this and your details anyway.
Enough said
I cant re-itterate that Tesco are collaborating details, so even when getting a non R&R refund do not give any correct details be aware that they are still gathering the details even when no r&r shopping .
Will never give info no matter what now0 -
Just a thought, but if you do to use a card as you dont have any cash and cant face a walk to the nearest cash point, why not buy an item on your card, and then ask for £50 cash back and then pay for the rest of your items with the cash?
obviously only works on smallish RNR'sTESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

Hi
i am assuming this is reply to my last post.
Item was paid by cash,0 -
I was unhappy with Tesco last week, got 2 of the lemon & garlic chicken misprices (£3.99- £2.99) but by the time I got through the checkout the CS desk was closed. The security man on the door saw me looking around and told me to call the next day. I wasn't sure if to call or go back to the store, but in the end had to call as I hurt my knee and couldn't drive.
The CS woman I spoke was really nice and went off to check it out. When she came back blatantly lied about the pricing! I knew she was lying as I saw a dozen or so "correct" priced chickens and had triple checked the SEL in case I was misreading it. Besides, I wouldn't have bought it if it had been correct. I couldn't tell her how I knew she was wrong but as I couldn't go back to store I had to leave it. Was really P'd off with it but put it down to experience.
Went last night to do my shopping and took the receipt with me just in case the price was still lower. It wasn't £2.99 but had gone up to £3.49 but all the chickens on the shelf were priced at the old price of £3.99Wasn't sure if the CS lady would argue about the fact that the receipt was a week old, but needn't have worried, she was absolutely lovely and gave me full r&r without my asking for it. Left the mispriced ones on the shelf too!
I'm so glad she sorted it, I've become addicted to their cookies and didn't want to have to go back to Asda shopping!0 -
My local had no SELs or displayed prices at all for the Digilogic TVs
They are obviously well on the ball when this sort of golden nugget breaks! CS confirmed the price at £49.XX....and then the window licker said to me...0 -

It's not Tesco's choice, it's the cashiers and if Tesco's were Ok with it then you wouldn't get lots of cashiers saying no.
Actually you contradict yourself - on one hand apparently you haven't modified them, on the other hand you happen to have cut off the Asda logo. Sounds like modifying them to me.
Asda themselves have responded to this issue by implementing a max £3 worth coupon usage, so it isn't bizarre to suggest that if this abuse becomes too widespread then Tesco's may well do the same.:p
I was merely suggesting that the season of goodwill be extended to the poor CS who gets it in the neck for this type of abuse.0
