My local had no SELs or displayed prices at all for the Digilogic TVs :(
They are obviously well on the ball when this sort of golden nugget breaks! CS confirmed the price at £49.XX.

    Don't ignore the non-extra stores.

Picked a TV up yesterday in a small store - looking for xbox gear at the time!

Was offered the difference, then when queried, immediately given full refund.
  • thank you barriejohn im obviously looking in completely the wrong places the only thing ive ever had r&r on is 2 packs of penguin biscuits
Extra payment every week challenge £15 so far
Pay one debt in 2012 £35/£294

You know your a serial R&Rer when

    1) You frequently make a detour from your usual home route just to look for R&R's
    2) When you walk into the store the very first thing you do is check out the CS desk for familiar staff. If you don't recognise them you raise a little smile.
    3) You head straight for the gadgets/games section even if you only want a pint of milk.
    4) While visiting a town you haven’t been to for a while you wonder if there’s a Tesco with potential R&R's in which have been fixed in your local.
    5) You decide not get a small R&R on a dead cert as it will raise your profile but each future visit you check to see it if it's still there and get more obsessed with it until you finally give in & claim it. SEL removed! Profile raised!
    6) You read the MSE misprice/discussion threads more than 10 times a day

    7)….

    Goodie - a test.

    1. Always.
    2. Yes indeed.
    3. Of course.
    4. Yes - store guide - yes.
    5. Well, I've got 6 copies of Blazing Saddles...so I guess so.
    6. Ah - failed at the last

went to my local yesterday evening, and picked up 2 legs of lamb SEL £6.68, charged £6.69kg. CS went off and returned to say that the customer services manager refused he refund as i had R&R couple of weeks ago on large quantity of meat and i was taking advantage of the policy. despite reading everyones posts and advice, it all went to pot at this point, as i asked for my receipt back and they couldnt find it, and refunded my shopping instead. They said they will be following this up with HO and demanded my name and details (again i panicked nd didnt give my real details). i feel such an idiot that they managed to get me flummoxed by losing my receipt, and have been kicking myself for not asking for the store manager or ringing HO there and then myself. now havent got anything to go on :(:(
any advice or should i just give them a wide berth for a while??

Don't be too hard on yourself - you live and learn - and you're doing it the best way by getting out there and walking the walk.

A penny here and there on a 'per-kg' mis-price is always a little shaky - CS staff are advised that a gram off for a weighted product (against the SEL) is not a mis-price - so there is scope for confusion between the actual weight and 'per kg' weight - if you see what I mean.

So you did have a legitimate mis-price.

But hey - I would suggest that you lie low for a while , R&R somewhere else if you can, and you will live to R&R another day.

Personally I would not contact Head Office for such a minor mis-price - but that's just me...

    I'm afraid I'm not Sparticus :p

I was on business in the area this week and stuck my head in the door :o

Go back, look at DVDs beginning with 'B' and see if you can spot the R&R I left for you Joe
