jap200 wrote:Can anyone please tell me where in the store I would find the Tesco finest Champagne and Truffles sets?
I have looked in the alcohol isle and also the christmas gifts (3 for 2 stuff) and can't find them. I checked 2 different stores.
Thanks
These are usually with Christmas Gifts but in a separate area to the 3 for 2 ones - there are several alcohol type gift sets all together. Whenever I've seen them, they've been on the top shelf. The box is dark red.
This one has however been going on for a while and most stores now seem to be displaying them without the large box tray, so opportunities on this are rare, in my experience. HTH0 -
jasun wrote:What is the policy on number of items you can buy without problems, eg: say if something is popular so they would say only a certain amount per person, I think it is 6?
Anyway, had a problem getting r&r on 3 x £49 odd, no manager on at the time, so need to go back during normal business hours, due to the amount (was £150 odd) - I've seen people get more back than this is one go, was it always dealt with by the store manager and nobody else?
I always go with 2 items, I also think that the size of the box matters as the TVs in boxes are large and people think they are big valuable. I got 2 of these R&R see post on the misprice thread. I have 2 kids so with Xmas coming it looks ok, chatted with the CS staff about presents for the kids etc.. softens their attitude on the R&RSeth.0 -
Can I ask 2 questions that I am scratching my head about now?
1 - If there are scanners in stores for the use of customers. Why are Tesco now quoting being seen to make use of a scanner as a justifiable reason to not refund an overcharge?
2 - Why are Tesco HO taking the attitude that if you use Tesco's Price Promise on a regular basis, then that singles you out as abusing their system? Surely the onus is on Tesco to get each and every price right on their products and have a rare use of their PP. If the misprices did not exist then this thread and users would go away also. I would like to know how HO can get away with denying a refund on the basis that a customer uses the PP on a regular basis. Should I be wording a similar letter to Mr Leahy?DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0 -

From the misprices thread:seth wrote:Got 2 Tv's (14" Digilogic, posted earlier) are scanning at £49.97 but £44.97 SEL. :rotfl:
Walked CS to old SEL (hard to see as the base of the shelf was over hung by the boxes of TVs, I just noticed it myself) CS took the SEL off. Walked back to CS desk calmly. CS Offered difference, I mensioned that CS staff at main CS desk (not electrical) told me I could get a Refund and replace. CS "Refund and what?" before I could reply CS saw deputy manager. I could see CS pointing out location of SEL. SEL removed. R&R no problem. Thanks to OP!:T
Seth, Tesco do not use the term R&R, or Refund and Replace/Retain.
Instead, say something like: 'I've just noticed your sign on the wall/till which says that if I am overcharged, I can have the product free'. Works for me
If you use these terms at CS and they are aware of MSE, they will know exactly where you got your information and may well give you a hard time. :rolleyes:0 -
Just posted this on the mis-price forum as well but last night I was in my local just meaning to get my dinner when I stumbled accross "Traditional reared 2 bone in Rib" standard white SEL £7.6x / kg but pack price £8.09 / kg. CS was great and gave full R&R of £40 without any problems.
Only my third R&R but I still felt guilty as hell for some reason, I hope the feeling goes quickly.0 -
Got OH to burst his R&R cherry last night on stormbreaker DVD...SEl 13.97 also charged this but chart poster offer of the week it is £12,97..so still out there he said the CSA said ooohhh we must get tht down by the morning girls!
Must say this R&R is getting addictive...had a dream last night that Mr T opened a metro as my corner shop!!.:rotfl:
Thanks all!!£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0 -
jenny_wrns wrote:Sorry to ask this question, but have scrolled so much that my eyes are still going up and down? Would someone kindly tell me how you use ASDA coupons in Tesco? Is there a limit, such as 10% off shopping total or anything like that?
1. Your could just go to a normal checkout and hand over the Asda Coupon to the cashier. Cashiers are usually told to accept coupons up to 10% of your spend. However I've found that a lot of them struggle with mathsand take up to 20%.
2. Use the self scan checkouts and post your coupons in the slot as soon as you have scanned them. (It is more difficult to retrieve once you have posted it). I did this with the 50p voucher that got me £3.98 off. This was actually about 52% of my spend. A message flashed up on the screen saying that it needed approval and within seconds the helpful Self Scan monitoring person had pressed their button to approve it. I think the reason that they do this is because it is too much hassle to leave their post for 2 or 3 minutes to sort out a coupon when during this time they are unable to monitor other activities.
Self Scan Checkouts are best for Coupons.:DIF THIS POST HAS BEEN HELPFUL - PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS :j0 -
