Hi,
I have just been to my local Tesco to pick some Christmas presents and tonight's dinner when the following happened to me.
I wanted to buy 2 Pro Evolution 6 games for the Xbox 360 (one for my kids, the other one for my nephews). I picked them up and as there were no prices (or a scanner) anywhere to be seen, I went to the CS desk to get the price checked. It turns out they are 39.97 which I'm happy with as they are presents. Done all my shopping, left Tesco, but forgot I also wanted to get a CD. So I go back in and on my way to the CD's come across a display with games which has got the game on there that I have just bought for 39.96. So I am going back to CS and I am being told that because I knew the price before getting it (which is fair enough and I was happy to pay the higher price too until I realised that it was cheaper on another shelf). Manager tells me she won't do it. She will not give me 80.00 due to being overcharged by 2p. Apparently they had these problems before and that's why. Surely that's not right? As I said, yes I had it scanned prior to buyinbg just to know the price and was happy to pay the higher price but once I had seen that I had been overcharged, I was not happy. I pointed at the sign behind her, but she keeps telling me she won't do it. HELP PLEASE! I have got the number for HO. Can you please advise what you think about this? Also, has anyone had similar experiences and how long did it take to get it sorted? Oh, they also told me I had to leaver the shop and if I wouldn't they would get security to shift me. The only concern I have now is that they will just say that there was no label at the lower price and I have no proof. What can I do?0 -
